Anybody installed AIO 92mm on their system? UndI’d like to know what is the temp like on the CPU ? Hard time choosing between AIO 120mm and 92mm cuz I’m not sure about a HD plex thing and power brick if I go with 120mm.

Just got my A4 setup today.

Asus Z370-i
i7-8700
ASETEK 92mm AIO w/ NF-A9X14
1TB 860EVO M.2
1TB 970EVO M.2
32GB G.Skill Trident
SilverStone SX650-G
EVGA 970 SC

**This is at 65W max setting**
I am seeing 36*C - 42*C at idle while doing web browsing, file copies etc.
Running PRIME95 60-64*C
These temps were pulled from Core Temp 1.12.1. My Asus AI Suite shows CPU temp at 55*C under load.

Room ambient temp is around 25-26* C

That's a very very cold stressed CPU for that cooler . R unsure that right?

I just looked into it. XMP was disabled and the max power draw was 65w so it was only hitting 3.2Ghz.

I enabled XMP and now the power draw jumped to 150w it hit 100* and dropped down to 135w @4.4Ghz and runs at 95*

Sorry for being a noob but, can I mount the mobo right away? or use standoffs? I got a Dan V3 and a Gigabyte B150N Phoenix. I believe there are stand off screws in the little sacket?

EDIT: I did! but there are stand offs. manual says I mount the M3 Trussheads, I believe the DAN got build-in standoffs but I just want to be sure, I don't to fry my board, or even worse: burn the riser/case.

From my experience, the 92mm is the best cooling solution for the A4-SFX v2. I’m sure the 120mm AIO will perform better than the 92. Assuming you have the v3, if you don’t want to deal with a SFF power solution, then skip the 120 AIO.

Someone got a Intel 8700K with air cooling instead of AIO if so, does it throttle the CPU because it gets to hot? and which one do you have, or do you recommend the non K version?

My Dan A4-SFX v3 just arrived! (Sydney, Australia) Looks like my 120mm aio cooler is going to be a tight squeeze but keen to give it a try later... build log to come if I succeed :)

Edit:

Some potato pics below to show it made it home! No internal pics yet as its a bit of an embarrassment! Such messy cables. Also didn't realise my Asus GTX 1060 Pheonix is not technically ITX sized (its 18cm) so it won't fit with the AIO fully secured. I still stuffed it all in but kinda disappointed.

I just built my freshly arrived V3. Since i've got no custom cables for the psu (yet) my Asetek AIO had to wait and i used the Cryorig C7 for CPU cooling. The I7 8700k is not delidded (yet :) ) but i assume i was very lucky in the lottery with this Chip. Temperatures on idle / web browsing / movies is 30 - 35 °C. While gaming temperature is of course higher, i testet with 2h playing Fallout 4. Max temps were around 75-80 °C.
Now im curious whats the difference with the AIO and in a further step what will be the temperature after delidding.
I7 8700k
Asus Strix 1080 OC
Asus Z370i

Oh that's very nice! That's actually the cooler I want to get as well! but I want to delid my CPU. can you keep me posted with temps when it's delid with the C7? and how is the CPU cooling sound when it's on load? is it really that loud as many people claim? Currently I use a i5 6500 with the intel stock cooler, but the cooling is dying lol

Also, some people claimed they couldn't fit the C7 on their board? which was most likely a Z170I. the standoff were too wide, what about these? I'm getting a Z370N from Gigabyte. hopefully it will fit?

+1 for the cryorig c7 and delidded 8700k. My case is similar to dan’s and gaming was a low mid 60C’s as well. As for noise, we’ll i couldn’t hear it over my GPU but it is subjective. Some people are bothered by it and some aren’t.

What case you got? :) the C7 is literally 1 mm next to the side panel.

While I was looking to do an 8700, a lot of places say that the bump to an 8700K is worth the extra $40. That being said. I am looking to run just the Noctua l9i and no overclocking. Should I look into delidding and undervolting the 8700K to reduce heat or just stick with the 8700??

Bear in mind that I haven't touched any of the newer processors and currently am running a i5-2440, so heat is not really an issue. I won't be doing any high end gaming, this will be more of a IT professional workstation with some minor CAD work/photoshopping and report running.
Daily load would be a few local VM's and a ton of web based applications.

I am really interested in a pic. I'm using the same AIO and fan, and I can't get everything to fit for the life of me. The tubes bulge out just like in this video:

On top of that, the cables for my Corsair SF600 are spewing out making it even harder to close up.

@dondan hey what’s up with your 120mm and hdplex configuration? The last time you said the hdplex got too hot?! How is it coming along? Please keep us posted on that.
