Cases received some refinement. case FLEX mini 4.5L rev.4.1 / case FLEX mini 6.1L rev.4.1
1. A transparent plastic gasket was added. protection of the video card. starting with Batch # 4
2. A more rigid internal partition with a thickness of 2 mm. starting with Batch # 5
3. Stronger side covers with a thickness of 2mm. starting with Batch # 7
4. The thickness of the metal front cover (2mm). starting with Batch # 7
5. Added option of ventilation holes in front. starting with Batch # 7
- Volume: 4.5L (225mm x 190mm x 105mm)

the recommend PSU wattage is 311w

but I wonder if PSU SeaSonic SSP-300SUG MOD 80 PLUS Gold is sufficient for this build.

Just an update on my flex mini computer. I had a pentium G3320 in it, but it was just too painfully slow, so I put in a core i54690, and wow! What a difference! I was worried about temps, but my $12 rosewill cpu cooler kept the temps in the 50s-60s while gaming (questing in WoW for a few hours, I’ll try raiding later)

So did the people from batches 3, 4, and 5 get their cases yet? I’m curious about your thoughts.

The temperature of the CPU did not exceed 80 degrees (core temperature)
The energy consumption of the entire system did not exceed 230 watts.

as @ember above asked, it would be nice to get some kind of transparency about when we can expect cases. Perhaps just email all buyers of a batch when it changes stage instead of putting estimates in this thread?

For what it's worth, I received notification last week that my batch 6 (unpainted) case was shipped. So maybe add two months to all dates? :-)

So far I've only got a motherboard to go into it, but I anxiously await it nonetheless!

Case just arrived today, and despite being unpainted (as requested), it looks gorgeous. Can't speak to fitment of components yet, as I don't have any (other than the motherboard), but so far so good.

As luck would have it, the 1070 Aero just appeared on Newegg today at a pretty decent price (for this cryptominer age, anyway), so I grabbed one of those. With the Ryzen 2 just around the corner, I might hold out for one of those (I've waited this long for the case, after all ).

Incidentally, my order said batch 6, but the sheet metal appears to be 2mm, which was supposedly a batch 7 improvement. So maybe I actually have one of those...
