For some reason NewEgg is happy to ship me the x370 but wouldn't allow me to ship the AB350 earlier this morning (sold out now). Is the x370 remotely worth the extra $50.

I could be wrong here, but in terms of those particular ASRock boards, I think the only notable difference is that the X370 has better wifi (and the chipset itself supports SLI, but both support Crossfire).

I might have to upgrade the wireless card in my AB350 board once it comes in. I didn't realize they were different.
That is the difference, which is inferred based on where they note 433 Mbps and 866 Mbps transmit speeds. In my AB350 board, I will be putting an Intel 8260 Wi-Fi chip that I had purchased and used in my last Skylake build.
