I ran off like a yahoo and ordered a number of parts to build my first Mini ITX and I can't believe my ears with what I am reading.
There were only two choices, none others:
asrock mini ITX X470 - has displayport output
ASUS Strix Rog mini ITX X470, no displayport

ASRock has been generous this holiday by releasing new BIOS updates for basically every AM4 socket board they have ! The update includes Pinnacle Ridge AGESA 1.0.0.6, which is a newer version than Raven Ridge AGESA 1.0.0.6 or Summit Ridge AGESA 1.0.0.6.
Here are the more popular mITX board...
@ASRock System - Please hang tight for a minute, read over the speculation(s), I will circle back around to why I mentioned you...!
So, a little speculation on what we may see coming in the next year from AMD...!
Obviously, the above is a roundup of some recent AMD rumors...
Whether or not...
Looking specifically for the Z270 Motherboard from the 2017 model, as well as the metal chassis case. I have emailed Asrock but so far no word from them, and it was hard enough to find the Deskmini for sale as it was. Unfortunately, the item is now "out of stock" on newegg and since they are on...
15 years past since my last build I decided do get myself a new rig to do a bit of office work and light gaming. My wife was quick to point out the importance of a small and aesthetic chassi so after some digging around I found the Jonsbo C2 to fit the purpose. I also wanted it to be somewhat...
This is my first mainboard from ASRock.
I'm usually an ASUS mainboard customer ever since Micron stopped selling their boards - which is a LOOOONG time ago. I've used Gigabyte occasionally, but mostly ASUS.
Their support isn't the best, but you don't usually need it. Its LEDs tell you what's...
While originally designed for just the Sapphire FS-FP5V, this case now works with and is intended for any STX board, but has been designed with Asrock's A300 STX in mind.
And we're calling it.........
HTPC Micro.
A 1.66L case designed to be used with an HDPlex 80w AC-DC for a brickless...
reference only though ._. can't wait for Navi to see if they'd start doing open-air coolers (Navi Nano? c: )

I was working on my case changing the cooler and put one panel on flipped it over and out popped this heatsink, I think...
I'll go down the list of parts I have in case.

I'm new to the forum and currently building up a ASrock Deskmini. Looking to deck this badboy out with top of the range stuff. Will post a build blog when I've decided on hardware.
Question before I proceed. I want to use the M.2 wifi (E) slot for my SSD... this is because I want to use the M.2...
Well well well, this could end up being fun. We all know Asrock as the one to do the insane or amazing, so this shouldn't come as a surprise to many. According to the source, they'd be focusing on the MXM sector (which makes sense due to those micro STX motherboards) and AMD GPUs. Hopefully they...
We already have an ITX contender by Asrock for the ITX lineup of the Coffee Lake platform.

The ASRock DeskMini H110 Audio Codec is ALC 283, an older basic stereo codec. They have the ALC283 chip on their mobo. (I have seen pics of it).
Does that freeze all audio coming out through the HDMI and DP to 2 channels also?
In theory, HDMI and DP can handle more far more audio channels...
Hey guys,
While I'm finishing up the B35, I wanted to share a concept I came up with a couple weeks ago- the Ocelot C8. This is a case intended for the H110-STX motherboard. I would like to preface this by saying that with the school year starting, I likely won't have time to finish this design...
I'm very interested in the Asrock Deskmini that just came out. It basically meets 90% of my needs (would be 100% if it had thunderbolt 3!) and the 2.7 litre spec is impressive to say the least. It's about $150 more expensive than if I went with my own custom build with a desktop graphics card...
1) Introduction
I am currently playing around with the idea of building a Mini-STX based PC with (almost) no compromises. The inspiration for this project was the awsome STX160.0 by Aibophobia and it's acompanying thread here on SFFF.
There are still a few things though which i'm not quite sure...
