VGA? Celeron? What is this, 2006? Links International has launched the LN5095W, a fanless mini PC that at first glance seems like a time traveller. The little PC features an Intel Celeron N5095, a ‘Jasper Lake’ processor launched in 2021. For reference, ‘Jasper Lake’ is an architecture within the ‘Tremont’ family, which is in the Atom product stack. Pentium and Celeron just ain’t what they used to be, man. Nostalgia aside, the N5095 is a quad core, 15W processor running at 2.0GHz (boost to 2.9), with 16 EUs of Intel Gen 11 Iris graphics. A gaming powerhouse, this is not. 8GB of DDR4 feeds the ‘beast’.
Continuing with the nostalgia, the system’s rear IO includes a VGA port! More modern displays are supported with one each of an HDMI2.0 port and a DisplayPort 1.4 port. A pair pf RJ45 jacks for gigabit ethernet round out the rear IO (DC-in jack notwithstanding). Being a uSFF system, a lot of the ports have to be on the front as the real estate is understandably limited. Systems like these are likely to be embedded under a desk, cabinet or behind a screen! Quad USB 3.o Type-A ports are to be found on the front, along with a pair of jacks for headphones and mic, and a micro-SD slot.
Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed on the included 256GB M.2 SATA SSD. Links states that the system can run 3 screens at once, although I’d expect them to be an odd combination given the ports supplied.
Measuring in at 123 x 123 x 45mm, this 0.68 litre tiny boi weighs in at just under 550g. The system is available from Links Direct for JP ¥69,800 incl tax, with a release date of 30th May 2026. Not sure as to international availability, but I’m sure if you must have it, you’ll find a way!
