Hi, just asked the seller about the wiring of the pigtail. They said it's 0.75mm2/AWG 18. Not sure if that's credible though. Is there any way that I can do to check the actual AWG of the wiring when I get the case? Thanks!

It's good to find out more from the seller on the wiring being used. If it's AWG18, then it's all good. These sellers needs to know what they are using for these AC wiring, as end-users like us are the ones getting electrocuted if somethings goes wrong. Safety first!

The risk of electrocution is more down to the quality of the connections and insulation and less about the wire gauge - you could just as easily get shocked if this used 12AWG solid core wire. Fire risk, on the other hand ...

For the CPU cooler height, Acat X1 supports 67mm and AKLLA A4v2 is apparently adjustable between 68mm and 75mm. I'm not sure about the kevcase one, you'll have to ask the seller.

I agree that kevcase is probably best for the price though a bit less now since the price went up 100 rmb but the limited colors make it not worth for me. You're right about the riser cable, you'll have to purchase it separately. You can message Kevcase to purchase a riser cable, I just estimated the cost based off of other sellers who actually have a riser cable option.

I have been having issues messaging on taobao via aliwangaliwang. Is that how you are messaging?

Thing with cheap goods, never trust a rating stamp. The seller/maker lies. For 5A+ of load...that wiring is not good enough, and is a fire hazard. You want at least 16AWG or 1mm copper (bare minimum) for 120V service. Someone on r/SFFPC got one of these tails of AliExpress, it was using 26AWG wiring --which is a joke and a danger to people and property.

Maybe it is bare minimum okay for 240V residential use outside the USA, someone else would have to say.

Right, forgot about those 3rd world electrical grids. jk ?

Indeed my bad, pushing over 5A through those cables could be bad, those in NA beware, I kinda doubt ZS is using cables that thin though, they're a bit more up-market as far as Taobao cases go, can't hurt to double check.

On 240V It'd be hardly over 2A on a powerful ITX system at full load, for our grids 0.75-1mm² is generally fine.

Not from Taobao, but from AliExpress.

Barrow Wooden case

Dimensions: 256.8 x 187 x 334.3 = 16.05L
GPU: over 300mm?
CPU cooler: can take 240mm rad, uncertain on the size
apparently it's also only has 99 being made. The full wood covering makes me wonder how well it cools...

MetalFish T40

Dimensions: 250 x 137 x 212 = 7.26L (not including 10mm feet)
GPU: officially 200mm, but a guy in reviews says up to 210mm
CPU Height: 70mm (so up to the Noctua L12S, which in my experience can cool even the R9 3950X)

Available in baby pink, baby blue, or white

That wooden case looks like a thermal desaster to me. Between the closed wooden shell and the interior frame is only a gap of maybe 5mm where air could somehow flow into the case, or am I missing something? I'm not a big fan overdoing it with vent holes but I'm pretty sure this won't work well except for some pretty low spec build.

Aliexpress lists 200 available from just that seller, with another 300 and 50 available from other sellers just on Aliexpress. Its also available on Taobao and other chinese retailers... Never believe the advertising...
Edit: My bad, its just the wood version that's limited, the painted ones are mass production.

The full wood covering makes me wonder how well it cools...

As far as I can tell those tiny vents on the bottom are supposed to channel air through the tiny gaps in between the wood and the frame, and exhaust by the single fan out of the back... I'd say not very well.

here some details about that power cable coming with the taobao case:

the IEC connector which plugs into the PSU is covered by some (non- UL) acrylic pieces which burn pretty good

the IEC connector itself is UL approved and self extinguishing as it should be

the wire is about 1.5mm in diameter / 2.0mm² which is totally fine

isolation is pretty thin but hard to damage under normal circumstances

I tested the isolation and stopped at 2.5KV which is totally fine

hope this helps making your purchase decision...

The cable in post above looks like one from this post/listing:

I have purchased a similar cable myself and it was good, however I am not entirely sure if it was the same listing as I bought a pigtail.

Anyone know of cases similar to the vertical half sandwich layouts posted earlier but supports full length graphics like the Velka 7? Something like Old Pigeon/Acat

None that I know of that is similar to Velka 7. Other one that I saw was YOGO S1 but thats 17L and bigger than H1.

The sliger SV540 should be coming really soon, which is quite similar to the velka 7 in look. Its a bit bigger, but part of that is the better CPU cooler clearance, longer GPU support and the more normal top IO section with a cover, so no IO extensions or weird PCIe riser origami.
