Yes, it seems the Corsair LPX are too tall to fit the Noctua 15 mm thick 120 mm fan on the underside of the NH-L12 heatsink. So, I started looking for some very low profile (VLP) DDR4. Crucial made some VLP DDR3, but all of their VLP DDR4 is ECC.

I hadn't heard of Innodisk before. On their website I found that they make Non-ECC VLP DDR4 that is only 0.738 inches / 18.7 mm tall in 4 GB, 8 GB, and 16 GB modules at speeds up to 2666 MHz . At this height a 25 mm thick fan is ever so slightly too thick, but 20 mm and 15 mm thick fans would fit on the underside of the NH-L12.

FWIW, ceski has shown in the News forum that it can actually be used at significantly higher speeds- see https://smallformfactor.net/forum/threads/innodisk-booth-at-computex-2017.2322/page-4

Super Early (french) bird special 14 here. I didn't buy a new case since 2008 (a Fractal). I think this project is a great new adventure in terms of industrial design.
- A question for the Louqe Team : do you think we will see a hat where you can attached an internal sd card reader?
- Guys, what king of external USB Hub do you have in mind if you have this case?

Backed this.

Do you have plans to make protruding side panels to allow the use of taller low profile coolers or wider GPUs, that could be purchased seperately?

@elliot_alderson @Qrash Indeed! I haven't found much consumer friendly VLP DDR4 memory either.

I suggest taking a look at Dan's HSLP48 here on the forums. Its like the L12 but shorter and with our distance, we could do push/pull given that 3mm doesn't cause too much turbulence. It'd be smaller fan (for ram) on bottom and bigger on top.

[Edit] just looked at innodisk VLP thread... Looks interesting. I already ordered the L12 so this might be worth getting to try out. I'll probably get the HSLP48 too to compare though :)

For you Ghost S1 peeps, either of these fan configurations with the Noctua L12 worked out great with my Lone L4:

The top photo uses standard height memory (without heatspreaders) and the bottom is VLP memory.

I forgot about the Prolimatech Samuel 17. Unfortunately, I can't find it in stock anywhere. Is it discontinued?

Does anyone know what brand of VLP RAM is in the second photo?

I had 2 questions for the Louque team, is the button / led removable and does the cover of the switch itself come off? I'd like to paint the case when it arrives and would obviously like the button to match.Second, you've already answered my question in regards to the pull tab being interchangeable, is it just a stitched loop? I'd like to have a leather one.

Yes, the aluminium top of the button looks like a hat ad will come off when IO is removed.

The strap is leather!

Oh I thought that it should be tax free if shipped abroad. I read somewhere in a reddit post before. Anyway, thanks for the replies.
All shipping outside EU is VAT free and already deduced in the pledges.

I checked the email I got but I don't see a backer number? Just a confirmation code.

Edit: nevermind, I found it by going to "Backed Project" and clicking the blue "+" button.
We got very little information from the original campaign, all we see is your backer numer 1 trough 300-ish and you username. We will match the usernames to the new datafile from this campaign and add the tophat if you didn't catch the window.

Number 1 checking in. :D

I woke up in the middle of the night for this (actually the middle of the day, but I'm working night shifts). I set up my CC info days ago and even mock-supported another project just to make sure there wouldn't be any hiccups. I'm not sure if I'll actually be #1 however as I know there was a special link for previous backers (I didn't have the funds last time around and didn't back, been saving since!). I emailed Louqe with a pic of my Kickstarter email to ask if I'll actually get case #1 or not, we'll see! I really, really hope I do because it was such a rush to receive the Kickstarter email that told me I was #1!

That is some commitment! what is your KS-username, I'll check!

Last minute questions before I buy:

1. Have you gotten your results on temperature delta with different feet height?

2. Could you do a video of the limestone, showing it in different light levels etc.?

3. What is the max graphics card height (I have a Zotac mini would that interfere/would screws in the top make it work)?

4. Are glass/acrylic side panels still going to happen? A non airflow optimized panel would look really good for water cooling.

5. As a company I understand you are going to make new cases down the road, do you plan to have an online shop for accessories in the future along with these cases?

6. You said at one point removing the VAT for people outside of the (EU?) was too difficult a process, but then someone linked to a kickstarter that did refund VAT, it would be really awesome if you could do the same, although I understand if the process has changed since then.

Thanks

1. Not tested this yet.
2. We will show you this, if you are att the Dreamhack event this weekend, please come to the DreamStore and have a look!
3. Currently 143 is the limit for the XS version. TopHats will create more space. Production model will have another mm.
4. Yes, the add-on projects will be executed as soon as we have a confident funding level in place
5. A webbshop will be launched before the delivery for add-ons and spares!
6. That was in UK with different VAT laws. In Sweden this is not possible, sorry.

#32 :D
In an earlier post I read that porduction will start as soon as the kickstarter minimum is reached, is this still the case? April still sounds too far away yet
Some components are made in China, primarily electronics, the Chinese new year (feb-mar) shuts down production for a month, with absolutely no pickups we would be able to ship in March but we know by now something unforeseeable will happen along the way, so we are playing it safe, enough delays already =)

Backed it earlier on kickstarter today :)
What an awesome and versatile case, well done Louqe?
Shipping is a bit pricey though and swiss customs probably are going to want another 50-60 bucks.
But anyway it will be worth it...

BTW: how do you pronounce Louqe the right way?
Not sure if there is a "right way", Jonas at Sweclockers (now with English subtitles) prononcerad it one way which could have been the decision maker but Jay did another. We say LOKE, but I guess there is no right way. we will see in the coming reviews if someone starts following suite =)
