If you guys like the lofi hiphop stuff I recommend you check out Soulection (<-Soundcloud page) They are like a bridge between contemporary artists and their original inspiration, be it 90s R&B, Soul, Funk, Motown, etc. but even the newer "popular" music is made to be more easily digested by their type of mixing style.

I find myself like others have said, to be wide open when it comes to music and can listen to pretty much anything. Screamo, electronic, rock, rap, (some) country, you name it I can probably find something about it that makes it enjoyable to listen too. What I tend to listen to a lot of are female singers and I don't know why. Something about the way women sing pierces me and makes the experience of listening to music much more visceral. For example, Take me to church by Hozier(YT) and covered by Jasmine Thompson(YT). Some other female vocalists since some might need some more sources: Thelma Plum(YT), Aurora(YT),and Marika Hackman(YT).

Bonus because music doesn't have to be serious all the time Babymetal

Been listening to some C64 demos lately. Feel like sharing it with those not aware of what is demo making....
Amiga yo

When it comes to tracker music, my favorite has to be Andrew Sega (Necros)

Also when talking about game stuffs. Daniel Wentz is not only great, he also occasionally takes on old projects. he rememixed all the music from Descent: Freespace for the Freespace Source code Project's Freespace Upgrade Project.

I've also been enjoying the new remixes for the new Unreal Tournament

And the New music made for it

Been stuck on a FutureFunk loop lately but besides that, the only other things being played have been military running cadences off SoundCloud. I hope to find my accurate BPM for optimizing my running performance but running at about a 6-6.5 minute mile pace is proving difficult.

Current favorite future funk:

Midnight Selects - Aloe Island Posse

Eyes On Me - Desired

Horsey (feat. Sarah Bonito) - Macross 82-99
Sarah Bonito is also a part of an interesting group- Kero Kero Bonito

I couldn't tell you why I listen to that style of music but I can say it originated from listening to Cibo Matto when in high school...I could listen to the entire Stereotype A album on repeat.

Apropos space: This makes me think about spacecraft taking off and landing every time.

The song you are looking for is An der Schoenen Blauen Donau

Tocatta and Fugue seems out of place here.

So anyways. Found this today

Of course, there's also these great covers.

Not a fan of the anberlin cover, to me it sounds like this voice is just off-beat by a different amount each time. Not sure what's up with that.

But the lacuna coil and hybrid covers are quite good.
