Refining the PSU mounting bracket continues.

The bracket was tweaked to allow removing the intrusive support beam:

40mm thick fans could be used with a 185mm long GPU:

The fabrication of the top sheet was flawless.

Finally, completed the SSD/HD mounting bracket .

Nice minimalist look!

No power button?
How much clearance do you have under the bottom fans?

I've spent a lot of time trying to make this the ultimate case for a quiet air cooled rig.

All four sides will have solid sheeting, thus the air will be forced to flow from bottom to top (120mm fans).
GPU cables can exit from either the top or bottom.
The PSU can can be mounted vertically or horizontally.

Everything here can be re-positioned/located (PSU, fans, motherboard, SSD, feet):

  • PSU - Can be mounted vertically, horizontally, behind/above the motherboard. Does not require a low-profile 90-degree power cord (30mm clearance).
  • Fans - The mounting plate can be adjusted vertically. Another 120mm fan can be mounted at the bottom.
  • Motherboard - The motherboard support beams (tray) can be adjusted vertically.
  • SSD - 2x SSD can be mounted on the front/back of the fan mounting plate.
  • Feet - The case can be flipped 180-degrees (GPU nose/tail up).

I've been refining the design of the case...top with 6mm holes and an off-center 16mm power switch.

The placement of the motherboard can now be adjusted along all axis (X, Y, and Z).

I love working with slotted extrusion. I discovered this nice airflow friendly PSU placement and all I needed to add was one additional beam.

With the addition of the sheeting, the second prototype is done.

Now just waiting on the powder coater. ?
