I have a few follow up questions for you:

1) does the cat sit on top because it likes the heat ?
2) does the cerberus overheat if that cat is on top ?
3) how long does it take to sous-vide the cat ?

Ahah,
here are answers :
1-Maybe...but i guess it's just because he likes to dominate..:)
2-nope..main exhaust fan is on side...no overheating issue

After facing random crashes on World of Tanks, I realized my voltage on DRAM was too agressive.
I put back some reasonible voltage and I was able to reach noticeably better results.
I tried :
  • 3333Mhz stilts fast preset : OK intel burn test, failed on memtest64 (before it was failure on intel burn test)
  • 3467Mhz stilts preset : OK intel burn test, failed on memtest64 (before it was failure on intel burn test)
  • 3600Mhz preset : OK intel burn test, OK on memtest64 (before it was failure on intel burn test)

For World of tanks, I guess I figured crashes reason : vsync issue. Strangely, when I'm enable vsync, GPU is only eating around 100W for 60fps...where without vsync, GPU is reaching 320W @100fps...not linear at all. Sometimes without vsync I'm reaching 240w (more normal consumption vs without vysnc activated).
As far as I remember, I never experienced crash without vsync activated on WoT.
After I double checked on Assassin's Creed Origins & World of Warships...no crashes at all.

In fact, for World of Tanks, I was wrong...it's a not an issue related to RAM OC...but apparently to CPU overclocking.

Indeed
  • When R7 1700X is at stock (3.5Ghz with XFR) and RAM OC 3600 low latency, no stability issue.
  • When R7 1700X is OC 3.9Ghz and RAM OC 3600 low latency, it has stability issues.

Really weird I must admit as ONLY WoT is crashing.

Definitely I will try with 3.7Ghz or 3.8Ghz OC..:)

Well mystery of crashing world of tanks is becoming deeper and deeper.
From my experience, only stock r7 1700x 3500mhz (xfr) is stable.

I’m betting either on software bug (amd driver, wot) or bios...wait & see

I'd blame WoT, I used to play a bunch and couldn't get more than a couple of matches without the game crashing!

Also with Ryzen processor?
Could be a Ryzen bad support on latest version...even this morning I got crashes with stock cpu clock...

Something is definitely going wrong. I'm giving one more chance to my current bios (agesa 1071) & wot 0.9.22 (released today) before trying previous bios.

Afterwards, wargaming is aiming to release their 1.0 version (new engine) in March. Let's see

Well, bad news, i can’t come back on earlier bios as agesa 1071 is loaded now on my cpu...
So I will need to find another way to solve my issue..:)

But another bios is available...3502...so let’s try..:)

Well, bios 3502 is doing not better than its ancestor.
I've well desactivated xbox recording.
I've decided to recheck all overclocking, including GPU.

From now it's stable....once it's 100% stable I'll check item by item. (cpu, ram, gpu)
