is it possible to launch a model with a better cooler height compatbility ? or would that be too big for your guys ?

I'm sure its possible, but with a further increase in width for the 560, the Ncase M1 makes more sense. And as for a wider 580, you're into Cerberus volume territory. If you're looking for a sandwich design with 70mm clearance, there is also the Steck and forthcoming Sidearm.

Two other cases I have in works are designed for slightly larger air coolers:

SV540 is an SM550 in vertical layout, 2-slot GPUs, but with 75mm CPU cooler height.

Console layout with 3-slot GPU support (CL3, name TBD) also has 75mm CPU cooler height.

Here's all our cases cooling options:

2-slot GPU
CONSOLE CL2 - 53mm air
SM550 - 55mm or 92mm AIO
SV540 - 75mm air or 120mm AIO
SM570 - 55mm air, 92mm AIO, 240mm AIO, or 2x 120mm AIOs

3-slot GPU
SM560 - 55mm air, 92mm AIO, or 120mm AIO
CONSOLE CL3 - 75mm air
SM580 - 55mm air, 240mm/280mm AIO or 2x 120mm AIO
SV590 - 55mm air, 360mm AIO, or 240mm + 120mm AIO

Honestly its because I want to have TWO cakes and eat it as well, I wanted a case both with 70mm or so clearance and a 3 slot gpu, and I actually prefer the Sm580 from it , I do have an m1 right now, and my only wish for it was for it to be a little taller and have a better front io clearance, something I might actually get soon.

Thanks for the reply actually , I may get the sm580 anyway or the console cl3 , really liking those cases

Question how would I set up my H100i Pro (Noctua Fans) and my 2 bottom fans.

My CPU is the 9700K (No OC) and the EVGA RTX 2080ti XC Gaming listed below

Added info CPU Side panel with PSU will be windowed and the GPU side will be vented

With air cooled GPU, I'd think all exhaust

I would check both options:
All exhaust or cpu intake. In my config( accelero 3 with 25mm fans) gpu was suffocating with both exhaust. I have both side panels vented-gpu fans are touching side panel. Removing side panel immediately dropped temperatures by 12 degrees in all exhaust config. This does not happen in cpu intake-bottom exhaust.

Thanks!

Another Question the H100i V2 uses a Micro USB to USB header for the Motherboard is there any way to get a shorter cable. I am using the Z390 Phantom itx by asrock

@KSliger , I just sent out another email to you guys.

@All

Here's my SM570 build so far:

Do you huys have any comments on my setup? This has bottom to top airflow and both side panels are unvented.

Would converting the top fans to pull (instead of push) be fine for performance? I'm thinking of doing that to cover some of the ugly Noctua color and give more slack for the AIO tubes so that I can route them to the left of the PSU, then under it, and eventually on the CPU socket.

You're planning on using the v2? The tubes coming straight out the block will make it so it won't fit inside the case

Hi all (@KSliger),

Well I’ve in mind to go for SM550 to potentially replace my node 202.
I’m looking for better cooling overall & noise on demanding game.

I’ve several questions :
  1. Will my GTX 1070 gaming X fit with standard inlet or do I need to go for pigtail? How do you measure card height?
  2. I plan to put either is-vc45 (with 92x25mm fan) or heat sink of nh-l9x65 in semi passive mode (with dual 120mm at bottom, exhaust mode as it seems to be the most effective setup) what will be best cpu cooling? My cpu is around 65w.
  3. What is lead time if I order from density.sk?
Thanks!

1. you'll need the pigtail. The card width is 140mm which might even be pushing it for fitting in the case without an adapter for the power cables.
2. The IS-VC45 will work better of those two but I encourage you to look at the Id Cooling IS-60, Cooltek LP53 or Cryorig C7G for better cooling

Interesting for is-60..:)

If you are interested in going semi-passive, the biggest problem is that the aerodynamic impedance of the CPU cooler's fin stack is higher than any other flow path around the cooler, so restricting those suboptimal flow paths with ducting is the best option. More often than not, a dedicated CPU cooler fan is going to provide better performance unless you're primarily interested in minimizing noise at all costs.

I am using the IS-60 in my SM550 cooling a 3600x and it does a really good job, recommend swapping out the stock fan though. You also need some flat head screws because the included round head screws cause the side panel to bow.

Ahah you answered my main question about is60, am4 compatibility...:)
Why do you mean by flat screw head ? Fan is not attach by clip?
Do you have picture to share please?
For fan replacement, well i’m used to switch on Noctua fan on id-cooling heatsink like my is vc45..:)
