Joining the club! I have longed for one of Josh’s S4 cases for quite some time.
Special thanks to @Dubnobass for hooking me up with his spare, @gunpalcyril for the psu ( waiting on the USPS still.. 3 days in CA guys?!) and of course the man himself @Josh | NFC.

Will go brickless when the psu arrives but couldn’t wait to get into it last night:

EDIT: Hd Plex 160w ac-dc installed and ready to party. I have set this up with wireless KB/M so just one power cord and one video connection needed if you go wifi on the net. Even with Ethernet its pretty tidy around back. Super fast to move, set up and enjoy. I am floored with the quality of this chassis and could not be an happier.

What's everybody's thoughts on the Intel 8350k I only game so the 6 cores on the 8400 is kinda useless .overclocking would be much more beneficial to me I think.

My case made it to customs today :)
So What's the consensus for best cooler in the s4?
I've seen the noctua l9i/a, the cryorig c7 w/ slim 140mm fan, the mp53 with a noctua 92mm fan, the cooljag falcon 2, and the tian TTC-NC25

lp53 with a noctua 92mm fan is 100% guarantee solid temps. i was never able to get the titan TTC-NC25 to mount correctly.

So, I've been running a Ryzen 1700 + Zotac 1080....my 330w brick seems to be overheating when playing games...any suggestions? I've tried 2 bricks, this one has lasted longer, but even on it's side, on a box, it's overheating after a while of playing games.

I'd start off undervolting your CPU and GPU to see how that affects thermals. If that doesn't do it, then an underclock could be in order.

Well i finally got my last parts yesterday and made the swap from the node 202!
Build is 1080TI, ryzen 1700 & 16Gb 3000mhz ram, and a 1tb m.2
Temps are better in this case than the previous one, and as i guessed the Hdplex 400 & dell 330w are able to power the 1080Ti & and ryzen 1700 under 100% load. Gpu is running at 1810mhz @ 0.9v with an Tdp of the 1080 which is really great.
Thank's josh the case is amazing and the build quality is really top notch.

:) got back to my dorm today. Can confirm that the new S4M is much easier to build in: I put everything together in under half an hour. Easier to work with than even larger cases haha
Now just waiting for Chinese New Year to finish so I can hop in and start making my waterblocks :p

I'm having trouble finding the Noctua NH-L9a-AM4 in-stock anywhere? What's the next best HS/Fan for an AMD Ryzen 5 2400G?

Also, what thermal paste are you guys using? I've alwasy used AS5 in the past, but I've also got some liquid metal leftover from when I repasted my laptop a few months ago.

You could get the mounting kit separately if you can get ahold of an older L9 for AMD or the L9i for Intel.

The included TIM is more than enough and you won’t need any aftermarket TIM.

Can confirm that the LP53 and Noctua fan zip tied is about 8-10C better temp wise while gaming (on an 8700) non delidded. Using an ASrock z370 gaming mini itx mobo and it can fit with fins parallel to the ram.

What size fan did you use? 80 or 92? Would a slim 120 fit over ram or would it lose too much static pressure through the heatsink to be effective?

Cuban legend has the Asus Rog Strict z370i Mobo with the LP53 and Noctua a9x14 fan and I believe he says the copper pipe barely interfaces with the first ram slot.

My question is: is it okay to remove the heat spreader off one of the ram card? Will i notice a performance drop from the unprotected ram? Will I decrease the lifespan of the ram? Any other issues or future issues from removing the heat spreader?
