SFF.Network [SFF Network] SilverStone announces the Raven RVZ01-E

Today SilverStone has announced the RVZ01-E, a variant of their RVZ01 slim console-style case that can fit an ATX power supply instead of just SFX. Press release below:

Still "just" a 14L case, although the 140-150mm PSU length limitation doesn't give you many options that SFX or SFX-L can't give you (soon).

So the dimensions weren't changed at all? In that case this is a logical variant of the previous interior. They wasted space so much in that case initially, they might just waste it on something helpful.

They did lose the 3,5" drive and slimline ODD support, although it's more of a personal choice if that's really a negative.
I still don't see why they made an ATX version when they'll have a huge SFX PSU lineup this year. Maybe too many people still don't know what SFX is.

As the RVZ01 is marketed as a no-compromise solution for full-size components that allows you to move most of your hardware from a big tower to a console-like case, they decrease the price of going SFF by the cost of an SFX PSU to some people.
Of course it's a trade-off. Either you get a new PSU and keep your old big HDD, or you reuse your existing PSU and buy a new drive.

Maybe, but I'm not convinced that many people "switch" cases midway through their build's lifetime. You'd also still need an mITX motherboard and compatible cooler (although 'boxed' works). Maybe it costs them a tiny fraction to do this and it's their way of doing market research.
