NFC S4 MINI Case

Just got my case this week and i wanted to let every one know how nice it is. i really love the from factor. if any one has questions Please feel free to ask.

specs
i7 7700k 4.7 ghz
gtx 1070 mini
m.2 ssd 256
500 GB ssd
300w power supply

i had a issue i with heat yesterday they there getting into the mid 80s so this morniong i went into the bios and changed a few settings for voltage. not the highest im getting is 70c on firestirke.

my FS score is 17100 not sure if this is great or not..

What fans are you using?

Im only using one cpu fan noctua. however im using liquid Metal Thermal paste i might delid as well i think if i do that i can hit 4.8/9 with same temps

You might also try adding some additional fans -- I think @Josh | NFC is making a revision to his next batch of cases to allow mounting a slim fan behind the GPU. A lot of other builds have an additional fan over the CPU. I'd try it out if you are unhappy with temps.

Interested to see what delidding does to Temps for you!

every thing i read about delidding i hear is amazing im just a little worried ill mess it up .. i feel like the temps are good for this little system.

i have an Alienware 17r4 with a GTX 1080 im trying to figure out of i should return it and use this at my portable gaming or keep it. it would save me about 2200 bucks

any advise?

For a 7700K Firestrike, those temps are pretty good. In a S4 MINI they are amazing. Your CPU can run at 80 all day every day, and if you are at 70 that's even better.

Yeah, it's hot, but its not dangerous.

I've gotten away with no laptop because I have an S4 Mini that I throw in my laptop bag with peripherals. This wouldn't be suitable for use on a plane, but if you just want a high performance gaming machine to come with you on your travels, you pretty much can't beat it (and mobile devices can suffice on a plane).

the Temps have gotten a lot better after we talked via email. i think the liquied metal helped a ton as well and the volatge. i think if i delid this thing and LM it it will drop 15c or so. hmmmmm

as far as the laptop i font ever use them on a plane. i just like bringing it to work with me but even then i cant play games so it dont do much for me.. as far ask taking it with me on vacation i only use it for movies and stuff when my wife and are are laying down. but i can always use an IPAD so might be best i send it back.. i do how ever love how it looks! it bad ass!!!

Update guys !! So went a head and delid my 7700k and I must say WOW!!! I just ran firestrike 4 times in a row at 4.5ghz and highly temps was 59c now

Ran it a few more times now it's getting to 66c

nice! so what's your average temperature drop after delidding? were you able to hit 5GHz stable?
