2,typc A basic unit 400 watts set, with one 6+2 pin PCI-E connector,4+4pin CPU connector, and 2 sata connectors.input 8 pin(2 M3 screws)DC jack.the PCI-E cable is soldered on the Load switch PCB(On/Off synced. with basic unit) right behind the DC jack, and it ismuch safer than other pcie direct connected to VGA method, for the house-keeping supervisory ship on basic unit will monitor the input voltage,if trigger an OVP,it will shut down the PCIE power:

Is there any downside to using the GX 16 input? It would be a lot easier to mod a case to fit that if it was already set up with a 12mm input.

no ,as i know and test,it can transfer 300w-400w power @12V with acceptable temp rise.and if you mount it on an metal case,it would be much cooler.

Love this psu. 400w, im all over that.
Is it moddular?
Instalation guide?

Yeah it's the grooviest :) When you order you have to ask what connectors you want and as I take it @guryhwa will custom solder them for you, otherwise you can ask for the standard option cabling? Installation is easy, just plug into your 24pin motherboard ATX socket and connect the rest out from there. You need to have the power brick to accompany the unit as they are custom-modified by @guryhwa also.

So the cables have to be prequested? There no way that you could make this psu like the new HDPlex where you just screen the cables to the unit? Im just thinking because parts change.
Also, would a heat sink help cooling on this unit.
Still love the unit. I just have to really plan my next built.

Cables are soldered. Installation is pretty self explanatory...

Edit: as per your new posts I dont see how that would hinder new parts. Just plug in your new parts like any other.

LOL,my basic unit 's cable is completely BTO,but,if you like,i can make a special version full of cheap cost connectors(several cents each) for your, not the present high cost tantalum capacitors~~~

and why need heatsink if it wont get so hot?
i am so sure you order my PSU you will get its high performance and luxurious components, not the cheap connectors and heatsink.i am so glad i may save $10-20 cost of tantalum capacitors by offering you $0.3 cost of connectors~and save lots of work time~ you are my boss ~

Ok. How would i go with the psu cover plate? Is this something that I could ask you for? If so, can they be made to add another fan or two.
Very interested in the ultimate edition. Any plans to make another one with better power efficiency and more watt capacity?
You have open the door to power!!! Thank you.
Please let me know so I could get planning.

Do you have pictures and size measurements of the 200W and 300W internal AC-DC units ? Sounds interesting !
