Increase volume from 9.8L to 10.5L to support MSI Suprim X 30XX?

  • No, not worth it b/c it is not better than the ROG 30XX, which fits now at <10L

So, I’m considering a full CPU+GPU Loop but I want it as low maintenance as possible. I already have the EPDM tubing, but does anyone recommend a good clear coolant?

I saw the Mayhems XT-1 Nuke which looks promising but I can’t really say if it’s worth it.

I did my research and they are pretty much all the same as long as you are going with any dyes in the water.

This is just for the CPU

EK-STC Classic 10/16 - Black x8
EK-AF Ball Valve (10mm) G1/4 - Black x1
EK-AF T-Splitter 3F G1/4 - Black x1
EK-CSQ Plug G1/4 - Black x1

There is no point in spending the extra money on the apogee 2, I spent maybe $100+ USD on fittings alone already

Can you do a guide on how to do the water cooling loop? I've never done water cooling before and idk how to do it. Also, would I need tubing Cutters or would scissors work.

Also, the lt240 still works without a custom loop right? I might do a custom loop on the future but right now it's not within my budget

1. Avoid 16mm OD tubes, these are are too difficult to bend in SFF, use 10/13mm instead
2. DON'T use 90° Angled G1/4 fittings, use 45° or 2×45° G1/4 fitting
3. DON'T use 90° Angled G1/4 fittings on LT240 radiator, use regular fittings or 2×45° G1/4 fitting

edit: DEFAULT Alphacool LT240 fittings are ok.

To answer this question we need to look at the whole situation. Ali was only able to use 2x15mm fans because he used a 240mm rad that isn't supported by the case (30mm thickness). Hence when using them he still had bulging in his top panel. Maybe if we would have used 12mm fans it would have fit better.

So answer 1: if you use any rad other than the LT240 you are going to be required to do the math yourself to figure out what works.

Answer 2: if you use the only supported 240mm rad you will be able to use 1x15 and 1x25.

I hope this clears that up. At the end of the day pushing the boundaries of this case is going to be fun but realistically no one can answer your questions at the moment unless the items fall within the specs.

My point is that it's only 1x15 and 1x25 if you have the LT240 rad between the panel and the fans, due to the differing volume of space between the mobo and the rad, and the psu and the rad.

I believe the available space changes depending on if you do panel, fan, rad or panel, rad, fan.

If the fans sit between the panel and the rad, I'm assuming there's only room for a constant space between the panel and the rad, otherwise, I can't picture how you could fit 1x15 and 1x25 in the space between the panel and the rad. In this configuration, there should be almost no space between the rad and the mobo, since the order would be panel, fan, rad, mobo.

Even if you are not using EK GPU block, you can use low profile angle fittings like Koolance Swiveling Elbow or Alpahcool HF L-connector to fit into 2-slot GPU mode.

That's exactly the information I needed for a Barrow Waterblock. THANKS!

Hi, do you think a 59.9mm GPU like the AORUS RTX 2060 Super would fit in here? Or is that too much of a stretch?

So, best not to use 90° rotary fittings such as the ones on the LT240 CPU block?

hey all,

I am having trouble finding the rubber tubing for this build, if anyone can find it and post it, it will be much appreciated

I think one would achieve essentially the same with either 90° or 45° while the 45° could shave off some mm.

Edit @PBJ :

1. https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-torque-angled-45-black Installed height: 26mm
2. https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-torque-angled-90-black Installed height: 31,5mm

So by installing the 45° fittings you'd shave off 5,5mm with the EK-Torque. Maybe other fittings are even narrower.
