Canon EF Lens - Help Me Choose!

It's time to spoil myself with a new lens - one I can use at events to get close up photos, as well as not being out in the aisle when taking photos!

Let's preface this with the following;
Camera - Canon 60D (APS-C sensor)
Current Lenses - Canon EF 50mm II F/1.8, Canon EF 35-80mm F/4-5.6, and a Sigma 18-50mm F/2.8-4.5 HSM (with broken autofocus)

I'm looking for a lens that is lightweight but well built, one that won't take up half my bag (looking at you, Sigma 18-50), and one that works well at shows and events, taking photos of small computers. I will continue to carry my 50mm II F/1.8 as a daily carry, however, I'd like to grab a second daily carry lens. I do prefer prime lenses (and zoom later in 'post').

My choices (due to budget) have been narrowed down to;

Canon EF-S 24mm F2.8 STM

Or, should I just get a Canon EF-S 18-55 F3.5-5.6 to replace the half broken Sigma?

I'm leaning towards the 24mm Canon, as it's the most different from my 50mm prime - but my logic may be flawed in thinking that a 24mm would make a great Computex/product shot lens.

24mm STM. The 40 and 35 would be fine for portraits but the 24mm is better for all around use. It could also be used ffor "semi-macro" shots of products...

Then the 24mm is your best bet, because the others won't get you as close!
