run the EPS (4+4pin) cable directly from PSU to motherboard and there is no limit to worry about. the limit ONLY applies when you daisy chain the cable from the M2426 to the EPS connector
Ah! So running the 2426 solely as a tidy cable to the motherboard 24-pin has no potential issues with a ~160W CPU and 400W+ GPU? If so then that just might my ticket for tidying up that 24-pin connector.

yep, the primary purpose of the M.2426 was to replace the 24-pin cable. the extra connector for the CPU is just an added bonus for low power builds. as long as you are still running dedicated cables from the PSU to your EPS connector and power connectors on the graphics card, you can use as powerful hardware as your PSU can support.

the T1 before-after picture on the M.2426 product page is actually mine as I was an early adopter/proof of concept guy. Taking out that sleeved 24-pin SF750 cable is massive for SFF cases like this so can't recommend you enough to go for it! The downside is that even if you order now it will only fulfil in February since J-Hack is swamped by orders from the T1 userbase and S4 userbase (Josh NFC also did a video on the item)

Ah! Thanks for the clarification—going to go order one which should arrive about the same time as some gear for my loop that’s also on back order (high flow next and a quadro to replace the Aquaero).

As Qzrx just said, I just ordered one too and like him I'm waiting for a quadro. I still haven't chosen the power supply - Corsair or cooler master 750 VS 850 ...

The first try of my build will be soft tubing (ZMT) but I'd like to try quickly after a hard tubing build with carbon tube.
2021 will be really hot for me :\

Thanks to both of you

did you order just the M.2426 board and then DIY the cables? since Corsair & CM have different pintout if you ordered the cables as well it may only work with 1 model and not the other.

You are right and I asked myself this question when I placed the order. In the doubt, I asked the question to the staff of J-Hack. I'm waiting for the reply and, in the worst case, I'll rewire - or buy a Corsair. The most important thing at the moment is to take my place in the queue.
Anyway, you did well to ask me the question.:)

Less cable , less restriction better Airflow + better looks.

Anything i need to keep in mind? (having sf-750-plat) Ordered it with the cable.

The longer I wait on this case, the more money I spend... I also ordered one of these today.

I take it that you need the PSU > ATX adapter cable, and use normal CPU and PCIE cables.

The 980 specs were a bit of a disappointment to me, and I'm running a 970 Evo.
I'm gonna wait for some more significant advances before jumping ahead with any storage changes I think and spend the money on some nice blocks instead.

I use a raid 0 of 970 evo + in my Asus rog laptop, they're perfect, but for the W1, I bought a 980, I'll be able to compare the two soon.:)

I already have a 970 1TB. The 980 seems a little ridiculous at +$100 but I’d like an extra drive. I am setting up a NAS so I probably won’t actually *need* another drive so I think I’ll hold out for now.

I have 2 x 2Tb 970s in my Ghost currently, so should see me though for a while!

A little bit of Sunday Night Content™ for everyone: 3090 and a D5 😁

Please note: this is a beta case, not retail, so I'll have a few extra millimeters to Tetris with come later this month. That, and hopefully a top with some more useful port orientations.

You should consider the WD SN850 over the 980 Pro. I ended up making the same decision after being disappointed by the 980 Pro.
Indeed, the WD seems to be more powerful and a little more expensive for us of 20 €. On the other hand it seems that there are performance problems when writing on the samsung.

I still didn't understand why there were no specific drivers available for the 980 pro. If you have any information on this subject, I'm interested.

You really must stop posting such pornography. I'm struggling to keep a lid on my watercooling want list as it is.
