Contact lenses/glasses are just a stopgap for a year or two to confirm my prescription is stable (hadn't had my eyes tested for quite some time prior to learning I needed correction) before getting laser correction. Probably LASIK but considering PRK even with the longer recovery time due to lower incidents of low-light artefacts, though I need to look for more recent literature to see if that is now a solved issue. My issue is mainly astigmatism, so very little chance of it improving over time.

Astigmatism is a bi**h, have that with some Nystagmus, Strabismus, Oversight, Light Sensitivity and yeah..
Although I've had surgery for my Nystagmus and only suffer from mild Strabismus from surgery for that which has helped me a lot, taking me all so much further away from legally blind.
But dammit, the astigmatism probably has the most annoying side effect when focusing on light sources...

There's a soft surface for them to land on. Only one lens there, a Canon 50mm. The rest are accessories

Yesterday:
Checked in my college application, did some CAD work for Gamegirl (and learned more about FreeCAD), and studied Japanese with two others.

Today:
Did some CAD work for Gamegirl, cleaned out the storage room, practiced drawing, studied Japanese with two others, and worked on my resumes and cover letters.

I was meant to start work a little later today and had decided to go to the little cafe down the road for eggs benedict and a strong coffee.

Buuuuuttt it's closed, which leaves me with a poor start to my Friday and slightly disgruntled at the inconvenience

Discovered my secondary HDD has decided to stop responding. Hopefully just the SATA cable (tight bend against side panel), will have to check when I get back from work. Figures it would happen the day the SSD intended to replace it was dispatched...
It's alive! While it requires you to perform a tribal dance of connecting and disconnecting the power and data connections at certain points during spin-up, once running and recognised it remained stable enough to image and recover everything. Automated backup is now targeted at the NAS like it should have been in the first place.

Since I repaired my daughter's shattered Rubik's cube ... She proposes all her friend to repair their. So I spent 2 hours reassembling a multicube that fell into pieces XD (no screw on this model)
