You guys think the I can hit 3600 cl16 on zen 2 (ryzen 3000) with VLP ram? I can't test it for myself since I don't have money to try this

I've got the Kinkstom VLP with Ryzen 3000 and I can't go so far with them.
It's a real pain in the ass to Clear CMOS my mobo with the Blackridge , so I won't try it again but when I tryed earlier it won't boot at all with that CL and freq.

Anyone has seen 2x32GB VLP RAM ?

The best I could find is : https://www.corsair.com/eu/en/Categories/Products/Memory/vengeance-lpx-black/p/CMK64GX4M2C3000C15 which seems to be OK with the blackridge ?

What's the best fan do you reckon I could put with that ? Which X570 motherboard do you reckon would be the best suited ? Ideally that would be to go with a 3950X (undervolted if needed to, just hope that I won't need that with the blackridge).

That's not VLP RAM. You can use it with the black ridge but not with a 120mm fan.

Yes indeed s/best/closest/
Too bad, would be nice to be able to use a 120mm fan.

Nobody has heard of VLP 2x32gb RAM then I guess ?

Yes I'd definitely prefer very slow 64GB of RAM vs fast 16GB of RAM.

(Mostly simulation with multi-gigabytes datasets, compiling modern cpp, etc etc)

I just installed my adata vlp-ram (2666mhz) with my 3900x on a strix b450-i. Best Freq i can get is to 3000mhz (1.36V). everything above throws errors or won't boot at all. I haven't tuned the timings yet.

I am using the kingston valueram 2666 vlp version in my gigabyte x570 itx board with a 3800x and I overclocked it to 3600 cl18 100% stable. one of the stix is the older hynix cjr model (made in china) the other stick is the newer nanya version (made in taiwan). they are available for like 30-40€ everywhere, even on Amazon.de.

I just ordered 2x8GB of the kingston valueram to see how it compares with my Adata. It helps that ram is much cheaper now! $84 for 16GB of kingston and back when I got 16GB of Adata I paid somewhere between $120-140. Still a premium compared to standard ram which can be $60-75

Very interested in your result. What system (Mobo/cpu) do you use?

My Adata 2666 MHz VLP 8GBx2 comes with Hynix chip (Bought from Aliexpress). I'm using with Ryzen 3900x + X570i and I can overclock the ram to 3200 Mhz 16-18-18-36 @ 1.37V Stable in Aida 64 CPU+FPU+Cache+Mem test.
I have tried 3466 MHz 18-18-19-34 @ 1.42 V also stable in the same test. But it only works for 2 days and didn''t post. So I have to dialed back to 3200 MHz setting, no problem so far.

By the way, anyone know where I can buy 16GBx2 VLP kit? The one from Aliexpress is regular height.

Edit:
I re-order this RAM again from Aliexpress. This time I receive Micron chip. So it's inconstant of what chip your will get. I haven't tried OC it yet.

Part number M4U0-AGS1WCIK this is a 1x16 gb stick by innodisk. Only 16gb stick I've that has 2666 speed(most are 2133 or 2400)
