Crucial has 60 sticks of MTA18ADF2G72AZ-3G2R in stock with a 10% off coupon available (UPGRADE2022), picked up 2x16GB for $166.75 after tax.

I know that @NinoPecorino said that "Registered" ECC would not work but has anyone had much luck with UDimms?
I checked the "Compatibility" list that is on the product page & it said that it would not work in a ASUS Z270i Gaming board. Would that just be their way of saying they haven't tested a Non-workstation board or is this legit?
Ready to pull the trigger...

It's unbuffered memory .... so it "might" work, maybe. With buffered ECC, it wouldn't even post. If it does work, you won't have the ECC error correction function though.
I had a feeling it would be possible. I would just very much want a set of VLP sticks that is over 8GB per slot so that I can fit a A12x15 under my Black Ridge. Eger to see if I can ekk out a feel more drops out of my S4M build. We'll see how it goes in the Phantom Gaming-I. Specs say that it's *possible but hints at only for Ryzen "PRO" CPUs.
Thanks for tip.

Set arrived today, can confirm 2x MTA18ADF2G72AZ-3G2R works with a 5600X on an ASUS B550i (latest BIOS).

This comforting news, as I just got confirmation that my 5800X3D shipped today and I was starting to wonder if it would this would even be possible. Will know more next week.
Glad to see it's working out for you.
~ Cheers

Can confirm that the MTA18ADF2G72AZ-3G2R does in fact boot on a Phantom Gaming-I B550 board. Have not done serious stress testing but it does report on HWinfo & have yet to experience any instability while either playing my suite of games, including CP2077.
So far, so good. Works as advertised so good call by @rcodi & I am seeing the same timings. 👍

So how much can I overclock/get better timings on a mta18adf2g72az-3g2r? @denisyan got to CL18 as I can see
I managed 3600-18-22-22-22-52 at 1.35V, which has not given me WHEA errors yet. I might try tightening the subtimings a bit more later on, but I am happy to stop here really if it is stable.

According to
Code:
wmic memphysical get memoryerrorcorrection
MemoryErrorCorrection
6
ECC is enabled, plus I have seen corrected errors being reported with unstable overclock settings.

Just noticed that my sticks are 3G2E1 rather than 3G2R1, but I bought it directly from here, so presumably it's just a different batch/revision.

I can confirm that KVR26N19S8L/8 overclocks well. It is Nanya F-die which behaves like Nanya B-die (according to integralfx). I was able to stabilize it with similar values that Buildzoid did with Nanya B-die on my Aourus B550i with Ryzen 5600. I got it to 3800MT/s 16-8/17-14-21-48 @ 1.46mV.

It's nice, But 1,46mV is very agressive, you aren't going to keep them for long.

As long as airflow is decent and temps aren't crazy, they'll probably outlast the useful lifetime of the system. Past 1.5, things can start to get spicy but it's die specific and many can go way past with adequate cooling.
