All,
I am looking for a bag/case that tightly fits my DAN A4-SFX. The goal here is to have a bag (with some protective padding) that I can slide the A4 into then place that into a carry on size bag without taking up too much volume extra volume, similar to a laptop & laptop Sleeve. The other goal is to do this for cheap, <$40. So Pelican Hardcases & Tenbu Camera Cases are out of the question.
As we know the Dan is 8 x 4.5 x 13 inch (200 x 112 x 317 mm) in size. The 13 inch length is the killer. Here are the different routes I have been looking down and the problems I have been running into.
Soft Side Lunch Boxes: Too short to meet the 13" length
Soft Side Coolers: In order to meet the 13" length they become a cube and take up too much volume
Soft Side 2-Bottle Wine Totes: Not wide enough to meet the 4.5" width
Also keep in mind that bag measurements are taken from the outside, so a 13" bag will often only have 12" internally on the same dimension.
I was wondering if anyone else has found something, or knows of a route I could look in for this?
Kind Regards,
Pedro
