Zalman not set at maximum rpm (+-1500), why?

That report is not 100% clear in every aspect. The Peak RPM figure says how much out of full RPM capacity each fan reached during the test. The ones that didn't reach 100% simply had more to give but based on the fan settings it simply didn't reach those levels. At 85 C all fans were set to run at 100%.

Was that what you were asking?

We are very close to launch now, we actually received the new units yesterday and they look absolutely gorgeous if you ask me! However the side panels were not made to spec and need to be remade, we are hoping to receive them on Monday and be able to give it to the first reviewer on Tuesday.

Is there anything you feel we have not answered, any outstanding questions or something we defiantly should adress before the launch? We will do a detailed build movie very soon and have a live video feed during the campaign where hopefully a lot is addressed but the sooner we know about your concerns the better.

Also, we will be at the DreamHack event in Jönköping where you'll be able to see it for real.

Yes but I mean that Zalman can run at 100‰ without noise increase.

Yes, we managed to record a minimal difference in noise when measuring so close to the case. In practice there is no difference when running at 100%.

For the sake of this test the fans were set this way to create very similar scenarios. Naturally the Zalman fan would have performed better if it was set to a constant 100%, but hopefully this is apparent to everyone. I'm actually a big fan of their fans and they keep impressing me!

I could argue that this fan is currently the best fan for Ghost if you are running a <95W TDP CPU, the L12 seams to have more OC headroom left with the fan never exceeding 90%.

I saw you asking for different build guides for the Ghost S1 on hardfourm.

Here's some builds for what I would assume a person buying a case with a price like this (no top hats & $180+ USD). Obviously there are amd equivalents to these build which can easily be explored/converted. I do have some parametric filters, and those are for alternatives to gpus and etc. Obviously stuff can be changed out to better fit an individual's personal budget and build requirements.

Remember that the L12 TDP decreases without the top fan and the less cache/core of skylake-x hurts the arch compared to coffee lake.

I own a Ncase and follow the thread at [H], back in May of 2016 I built mine with i5 6600k, 16GB ram and GTX 1070. Seeing what the majority of users install this is actually a budget build, most were installing 6700k, 16GB and GTX 1080. There will be the switch to Coffee Lake now but the most common recent builds were 7700k, 16GB and GTX 1080 Ti. You will be seeing the same kind of builds with the Ghost. There will be occasional Ryzen and Vega builds but the majority will be Intel/nVidia and the majority of those will be 8700k, 16GB and GTX 1080 Ti. You will of course see some variety, various Ryzen 1600 up to 1800X, the occasional i5 and a few X299 builds. I have seen a very, very few people using GPUs less powerful than a GTX 1070.

You can obviously put together whatever kind of builds you want for the various categories but you should consider your target audience, very few people who buy a $200 case are doing what most would consider a "budget Build"

Any information on the (presumed) price?
We are holding a final pre-lauch negotiation with suppliers this Wednesday. I say pre-lauch because we till navigate in large uncertainty and can not give them any hard volumes at this point. so we are working with different price/volume brackets.

Any way, I can't give you much right now more than this: It will not be more expensive then before.

In this specific build the L12 was used, yes!

Is that the reviewers build or yours? I can only speculate a MSI z370i/8700K/L12, EVGA 1080Ti SC2, and Corsair SF600 which is different from what you published recently in regards to thermal CPU testing. I'm very curious on thermals of that build as I'm sure that's what we all want to build!
