Is it possible to move the cutout in the center spine back or the front fan mount more forward? I'm thinking that you could fit a 120mm radiator with a slim fan in the 560 (and maybe in the 550 thought routing the tubing around the spine would be hard unless it had swivel hose mounts). Sort of like this?

I noticed after building that I have a bunch of space to hide cables and stuff up front - and I need to measure again to see if I can fit a small rad. I'm thinking that even with the current setup I could put a 120 rad on there with the waterblock on the front side and a 92mm fan since the cutout is big enough. Not sure if that would be better than a 645 clc but it'd certainly be easier to get a 120 over the 645 since it still isn't widely available.

I think the issue is the feet mountings in the bottom would interfere if the fans were further forward, which is something that isn't an isue on the 570/580 due to the increased case length. At least that's what I've taken from the rest of the thread.

I think part of the reason the bracket there in red scribbles is so far forward is because that's where the motherboard standoffs are?

Got the l9a in. Stress tested using cpuz rog and got to about ~70c after about 15 minutes and stayed around there. The cpu is an r5 2600 with a - 0.100 offset. Pretty happy with it. When running games and such or just at idle, I can't even hear the machine. This is also with 2 windowed panels. It idles at about 45c though, but I'm pretty comfortable with the on load Temps.

Is the l9a running full bore at that point? I'm trying to figure out if I want to go with the l9a or with an AIO once the next set of AMD chips launch (and hopefully mobos with support for the front usb header)

Rumors and leaks are claiming that the highest end Ryzen 3000 series chips may have TDP's over 100 Watts. I decided to play it safe and just went with an SM580 and a 280mm AIO.

Has anyone else had issues with the new forum breaking a ton of images? I've been trying to find images, diagrams, etc. of the 570/580's but so many images are showing up with this error: "Template public:_media_site_embed_imgur not found. "

I've been lurking this thread for a while as I've been planning a new PC build for sometime this summer once the new Ryzen chips come out and I've gone back and forth on whether to go the SFF route or not, but I think the SM580 seems pretty much exactly what I want. Couple quick questions:

With the SM580 (or 570) how much space (if any) is there for non M2 hard drives? Would there be sufficient space in it to put a 3.5 inch mechanical drive anywhere? Or would it be limited to just 2.5 inch SSDs?

As far as non SFF cases go, I love the look of the Phanteks Evolv X, especially the RGB strips on the front of the case. Its enough RGB to be kind of neat without going overboard, IMO. I can't quite tell from the images here, but would it be possible to put some RGB strips along the underside of the front panel of the SM580 to sort of mimic that RGB look from the Evolv X? Or does the front panel sit too flush making there insufficient space for anything like that?

I think that don't have space for 3.5 HDD. Maybe if you dont install 1 bottom fan...

I think as @JaPeMo said, there probably isn't space for a 3.5" HDD unless you put it under the front of the graphics card. I believe @KSliger said he was going to release a bracket for it, but I don't remember if that'll ship right away.

As for RGB, there's nothing stopping you from shoving RGB lights all over the case, the various strips are readily available and work off your motherboard's RGB headers (if it has them). EDIT: Misunderstood what Phanteks case you were referring to, removed an irrelevant comment

So currently there is no support for 3.5" drives in the SM series, but IIRC Sliger mentioned he was going to be making a bracket to allow drives to be installed in place of one of the fans on the bottom. There was at least one build in the SM560 where the member said that there was a perfect amount of space next to the side panels for Corsair RBG strips to fit, I'll see if I can find the post and I'll edit a link.

Thanks for the responses- so with the SM570/580, is the current thinking then that in terms of 2.5 inch SSDs, it would be the same or similar to what can be done with the SM560- space for 2 behind the front panel?

I've just been going back and forth with what I want to do with my new build. I want to do a whole new build from the ground up and get a new case to replace my old CM Storm Scout, which has been super durable and reliable with its big ol' handle on the top for transporting, but I want something that looks a little more premium. That led me to looking at the Phanteks Evolv X, which seems like it would be easy and fun to build in and looks beautiful IMO, but in terms of being able to transport it and move it around, seems like it would be a huge headache.

Then I started more down the SFF route of maybe just building a real small SFF build and keep my current Storm Scout for keeping more HDDs and storage in it.

But then I came across slightly larger SFF cases like the Cerberus and the SM580 which seem like they might end up being the best of both worlds- small enough to be portable (hooray for handles!), nice aesthetics and hopefully enough room for some storage.

Been having issues with my build. Random hard locks. Not all the time or even a lot. About once a night. Thought it was my voltage on the cpu not being enough. I now think it may be something else.
I ordered the white psu cables for the Corsair SF750. I know that those psu's require certain cables. The 24pin cable needs to be of a specific spec and I believe, have some type of capacitor in it. I just happened to remember a post I read awhile ago that said, if the 24pin doesnt have that, you will get random lock up. I swapped back to the stock black 24pin that came with the psu and am now testing.

edit. Nope. Cable was not the problem. ugh.

@KSliger Sorry if this has already been asked before, but I'd like to know how the Accelero III fares with the SM560? Is it better with a vented panel, or would a solid panel with strong bottom intake fans be better?

I have my 1080 Ti with Accelero III in an NCase M1 right now, temps are good with the usual config but I'm interested in this case because of the layout.
