Update: My Team memory sticks arrived and I've done stress testing the shiit out of it. Turns out they're rated 3200 MHz and they are not stable at 3600 MHz, no matter what timings I set them to (max on the A300 is 25-25-25-58). I wish I can set the voltage to 1.40V but I doubt my system can be stable anyway.

So I have set them at 3200 MHz right now, 18-19-19-40-60 @ 1.35V. Still testing them by running Intelburn AND Unigine Valley at the same time. I checked AIDA64 and the temperatures are soaring LOL.... Stock AMD heatsink crammed inside, removed the fan grommet. Memory read is around 47,xxx MB/sec, as opposed to 53,xxx MB/sec when running 3600 MHz.

Overall, I'm happy to make this purchase because initially I could only run 8GB at 2400 MHz. Now I have 16GB and 3200 MHz. :D

Looking into getting an X300. Can anyone confirm if the output is HDMI2.0 and DP1.4?

Looking to stream 4k120 games to the living room. Thanks!

Hello @D3NPA !

My Ballistic memory modules, there is no chance of reaching 3600Mhz. So now I use XMP at 3200 MHz. :/
Too bad there is no XMP 3600 MHz memory available.
sorry for my English

I use the X300 with a 5600G hooked up to an LG C1 OLED and i can confirm this setup is running perfectly on 4K@120

Thank you! This is exactly my use case, have the same TV too. Are you connecting to the C1 using the HDMI port or an active DP to HDMI adapter? Thanks a lot!

Sorry, I'm a little late to the party maybe, BUT:

I own an A300 with 2400G installed in it. However, I would like to upgrade this to 4650G. I read it is possible by upgrading to a beta bios version. Therefore I have downloaded the L and N versions of BIOS 3.60. Is either of those the "best" possible BIOS version that support 4650G on A300? If not, could someone point me to the best possible BIOS version to get the best perf out of this barebones PC? Thank you in advance!

3.60S is probably the best 4x50G bios.

Hello @D3NPA !
I don't think raised voltage to get tighter timing is worth it.

In benchmark, you will see a performance raised with tighter timing, but in real usage, I doubt it will be noticed.

Hello, I want to upgrade my A300 with 2400G to a new Prozessor to have a little more power and Win11 support.

First I thought of the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G, unfortunately I read on the Internet that the standby function no longer works with the A300, because it is a Pro CPU. Unfortunately, I can not get a non-Pro variant purchased in my country.

Does anyone happen to know the standby problem would also occur with a normal AMD Ryzen 5 4600G ? Because unfortunately I have to take the risk of importing the 4600G from China.

I have read rumors on the internet that code from Cezanne was found in the beta bios of the A300. Has anyone read about this anywhere, if anyone has tried to get a Cezanne CPU to work with the Beta Bios on a A300 ?

Thanks for your answers.

Nope, it was on the beta bios "L1.58" of the Deskmini X300 that this compatibility with the Ryzen 5xxG said "Cézanne" suddenly appeared to be finally officially supported from the final bios "P1.60" of the X300. The Deskmini A300 only officially supports up to Ryzen 3xxG called "Picasso", but "modded" bios in unofficial beta had been leaked with support for Ryzen 4xxG called "Renoir", these are the beta bios "L3.60L" , "L3.60N", "L3.60R" and "L3.60S". So if you want to upgrade to a Ryzen 5xxG "Cézanne", unfortunately for you, you will have to invest in an ASRock DeskMini X300 kit to take advantage of its "X300M-STX" motherboard.

Too bad, so the 4600G/4650G is probably the only viable upgrade option then.
Is the standby problem with the 4650G a confirmed problem? And should one expect the problem not to occur with a 4600G, if one already takes the risk of an import from China?

I asked the AsRock support and according to them it is a general Renoir problem. Whether you use a Pro 4650G or 4600G makes no difference. The S3/Sleep mode doesn't work.

The S3/sleep mode problem has been extensively discussed several pages ago.

I don't think raised voltage to get tighter timing is worth it.

I initially increased the voltage to get my system stable to 3600 MHz but it failed. Anyway, 1.35V is still safe voltage for DDR4. Even the packaging says it's the rated XMP voltage. :D

Update: Running my RAM at 1.2V is not stable, so it goes back to 1.35V now. :D

Hmm, I was able to upgrade from 2400G to 4650G on my A300 deskmini, with the 3.60S BIOS! Thanks for the help!

However, it seems like I've lost my LAN connectivity after the upgrade. From the UEFI setup I can see that Onboard LAN is enabled. However, the LAN controller LEDs don't light up when I connect the LAN cable from my router to the A300.
