I am confused: the test Deskmini STX case he uses in the cooler test video has two rows of vent holes above the back plate, while Asrock's stock pictures of the A300 show three rows, which means higher coolers are possible (as I mentionen before).

Now which case have current A300 owners got?

Two rows, but they're much further away from the edges. I think they're all two rows for structural and / or manufacturing purposes.

Just 2 columns of holes top right, 1 column bottom right, 1 row in the bottom. The IO shield also has different holes and no circular things in the left.

yes 3.60S or 3.60R should run smooth. 4750g have any problems . but not all 4750 g . Problem is vega Graphics and ddr4 ram faster then 2667. Maybe it can be a power supply issue maybe you need a better power supply then 120 W or its a bios problem. They work an bios to fix that.
But this is not from Asrock Official, right?

S3 (Standby) Mode does on Renoir !Pro! Cpu s not support but hybernate you can activate. One of 10 users sais he has any problem with m2 slot , but i don't think that is any bios issue.
Do you mean, Renoir not support stand by mode? That is too bad, I use stand by mode all the time.

there won't be official renior support for A300! unfortunately it's official :(

still, as a result of JZ and ASRock cooperation, new unofficial "beta" bios versions with renoir support has been released for months now. latest 4750g bug will be addressed in the next version coming soon (already out for A520 mobo).

You know something of this bug?
Do you have any source that any further BIOS update will be available? - since it's officially unsupported

Greetings :)

My Ryzen 5 4650 Pro came in today and it booted first try even with ram at 3200mhz, only downside is no sleep as others have noticed, but other then that awesome chip and the performance upgrade was worth it for me, I was getting 25-30fps playing beam.ng at 1080p now I get 35-40 FPS and thats going from a 2200G to the 4650pro and the cpu performance is incredible.

So what's the verdict on the 4750G on the A300? Is it too power hungry? Are temperatures too high with, say, the N9a or an AXP90r full?

So, it safe for update BIOS 3.60 R in Ryzen 2400G for daily use? Just install from BIOS setup and restart?

I want try RAM OC to up 3200, because right now my ram just 3000 from 2666

yes, just install, modify needed settings (bios update resets them) and should be ready to go.

though it's safe i won't have high ram oc expectations with raven ridge. see my case with 2200g and g.skill 3000 mhz running stable @ 2933 only.

Its develop from AsRock with JZ together . JZ only supports that bios for his sold deskmini. But you can asked him if you have any question. He helps if you asked i think

Renoir PRO doesn't support the S3 Standby mode only the S5 Hybernate mode. Because the Board can't acvitate it because there is an PRO security function enable. Bios update should fix this later on X Version . But they work on this on A300 Version too. But you can use the x300 bios on a300 maybe this fix it tooo

Oh wow so if I got a 4650G non pro it would get the S3 sleep? I don't mind if my computer after a certain time goes into hybernation that would be fine, looking forward to the update!

I just want to share this dude whose video we've seen before earlier. This time he is comparing temperatures and noise of different coolers for the A300. Sorry if this is not the place for posting cooler video but I think a lot of us A300 owners should know.

Cliff's note: stick to the wraith stealth cooler and save yourself some money.
The video didn’t show exactly how they manage to fit that IS-47K inside. Using the stock fan in reverse mode (sucking air inside) the performance is comparable with Noctua L9a at a cheaper price. Run CineBench R20 with a max 80celcius.

Pretty sure I came across one in the past but after searching the forum here as well and not finding it again: is there a listing on Aliexpress for the/an audio cable? Thanks in advance!

this was the most recent post about it if i'm correct. not all version is ok for A300 because of connector size. but use search if you want details.

Hey. Where can I get a modified BIOS, how does it differ from the BIOS that was removed from the asrock website (A3MSTX_3.60L)?

@Serj47 changelog is not available but what has changed and was observable (if you read the thread from starting page 50,55) you'll figure out following:

AGESAv2 stack
Vega has +5fps performance
Improved memory comparability
Ryzen 4000G support

If You follow the thread then, you'll see there is a german JZ Website, who is a retailer - where you can get it from
