Hello, Zotac has showed the new 1080ti mini, i ask if possible to put it inside. Thanks a lot.
Good question, we don't know if it fits yet, someone has to buy one and try to put it inside the S4 Mini first.

About 1080 ti mini? Can i put inside a psu over 300watt?
Like I said above, we don't know if it will fit yet, but it probably will need the HDPLEX-400, not the 300.

Correct me if i am wrong but PC mag says the gtx 1080 ti mini is 21cm long

"One card is fan-cooled, the other water-cooled, but both are only 21cm long and promise no compromise on performance."

That is the same length as the gtc 1080 mini. So they probably used the same board layout to cut costs. So it would be a safe assumption i think to say it fits with all the same modifications.

It may be 21 cm long, but the PCB is longer for sure, look at the back of the 1080 Ti Mini:

The PCB seems to go all the way back, where the 1080 mini's used to stop earlier... not that it matters at all. Because we cant shorten the card past the heatsink... we can only try removing the fan shroud, or cutting the shroud, or dremelling the heatsink down right before the first heatpipe... and now we might have to deal with the PCB being long as well.

I hope its the same heatsink length as the 1080 mini though, because then it will fit in the S4 Mini almost guaranteed!

Then, once we KNOW FOR A FACT that it fits... it's then a matter of HOW TO POWER IT, an HDPLEX-400 would be required (or a Q-unique 400w equivalent), but then you'd need to order a custom G-Unique 400w Power brick, that is rated to operate in the right voltage that the HDPLEX supports, and @guryhwa should be able and has shown he's willing to make the brick with the right connector to match the HDPLEX-400's DC-DC connector, although he recommends an alternate connector due to possible heat problems.

Been awhile since I've posted. I found some cool feet for my S4 that I'll post later.
Question: Where are you guys getting the custom cables for your HDPLEX 300W? I would be hella interested.

I have made a few sets for the S4 Mini + HDPlex 300w + Asus z(x)70i mobo combo. :)

Thanks to @DocH for the mention, if you are interested you could either let me know via my website (http:/avaentum.com) or email (admin@avaentum.com) or just send me a PM here whichever is more convenient for you :)

At some point during Computex we'll be trying to get our Mitutoyos on anything that is SFF.

I have a feeling this will be done so much so that Mitutoyo will become a verb. Alert Merriam-Webster and Oxford...

Someone mentioned that door stoppers worked well! I wanted to try them for myself. I went with this configuration for feet because I feel it looked the neatest all angles and didn't interrupt the airflow for the graphics card.

Found them in the same isle as command strips (which is how I fixed it to my case) at my Walmart .

I will definitely be ordering some cables from you @royalba94

What size of cables doss everyone order?
Need lengths for CPU Power, GPU Power, and Mobo Power?

Awesome, thanks! Just shoot me a PM and we can work out the specifics there :)

With the HDPlex 300w and the Asus Z(x)70I mobo combo the lengths I have been doing (measured between the connectors) are 2.5in for the 24pin, 10in for the CPU 8pin, and 13in for the GPU 8pin.

Those lengths work perfectly when sleeved in paracord and just need a bit extra length in Teleios/MDPC-X/Aegis sleeving.

For those of you interested in the scale of the S4 Mini, and for the sake of me learning basic skills in sketch up, I put together an image of an S4 Mini inside the dimensions of a JanSport backpack. Amazing how much room is left...
