I am currently designing a new case for my first ever SFF rig, originally I was going to use a G-Unique 500Watt DC-DC PSU but seeing as after taking all components into consideration a Flex ATX PSU wouldn't be much smaller I've decided that I'm better off using a 500Watt fully internal Flex ATX PSU in my build, so I'm after recommendations on what brands to look at for a PSU with about 500Watts of output, it needs to power a GTX 1080ti and a i7 8700k plus 2 x 2.5inch HDDs and a Slimline Slot load Bluray drive, as well as 3 x M.2 NVMe SSDs which will be mounted to the motherboard.

Also is there any PSU options that are smaller than the FSP500 which is 150mm x 81mm x 41mm, it is mainly the 81mm that I want to get down to around 60mm even if the 40mm goes to 50mm, I'm after placing the unit in a chassis smaller than 350mm long by 225mm deep by 60mm high, but at the moment I can't' find a slimmer PSU than flex atx......

Something like that ?

https://www.amazon.de/Shuttle-PC35I2402-Netzteil-Lüfter-20pin/dp/B00ICI46UC

But it's only 240W. As far as i know, the FSP500 is the most compact internal 500W PSU.

I have one with a GTX 1080 and a i7 8700k and i can tell you this is the noisiest part of my build. At 200w load it's a bit noisy, at 300w load with oc CPU and GPU it's loud.
So if you plan to use it with a 1080ti it will be noisy even without oc.

I think you should use external PSU, like HDPlex or G Unique for such a small case.

Thanks for your reply, I have decided following feedback and my own research that a G-Unique PSU will be my best option, and after hearing that the FSP500 is loud I am even more inclined to get a G-Unique unit

Geeek offers a silenced Flex PSU but according to their website is only available to customers who ordered their A30 case. Unfortunate, since there isn't much else that's comparable as far as I know.
