Gotta say, looking at the volume of these cases, yall better step it up cuz the Ncase M1 aint doing you any PPL favors, lol!

It's SO COOL to see the NFC S4M on TOP of the leaderboards in #1 and #2 position, isn't that right? @Josh | NFC heck, 3 out of the top 5 positions are in an S4M! :D What a testament to that case!

Blasting thru Cinebench R20 & TimeSpy runs, no more than a handful or so of minutes spent going full-throttle is one thing, but can these diminutive powerhouses give the same performance while editing & rendering all day long?

Not disparaging any particular chassis, just a general thought...

Yes they can, have you seen the S4M/S4M-C?, the case is a heatsink itself if you build it right.. and it has amazing ventilation thanks to Josh's patented Skyslots. I myself have been able to drop my max long-term-use GPU temps by 2-3c by applying a thermal pad to mate the end of my GPU heatsink fins and the 5mm wrap-around bezel, making the wrap-around an amazing GPU heatsink extension.

@Aux can I have a 2nd entry pls! This time in the Formula X1 whilst waiting for the T1 to get here.

(7,826 x 9,603 ) / (9.75^1.5) / 100 = 24,696
  • Bigger case, obviously, here's how I calculate the volume:
    • Formula X1: 7.56L per master case lit, of the extrusion
    • Radiator from EK AIO 240 D-RGB: 120 x 27 x 270 = 891,000 ~ 0.891L
    • Dual push-pull 120 fans, minus 5mm in height recess of the top mounting of the case: (25 + 25 - 5) x (120 + 120) x 120 = 1,296,000 ~ 1,296L
  • With the AIO I'm running my 3900X 4.4GHz all core at 1.275V, doesn't pass Prime 95 but run benchmarks and normal use very stable thus far
  • New GPU - Sapphire RX 5700XT Pulse, de-shroud with 1x Noctua NF-A9x14 and 2x Scythe Kaze Hachi 80x10 fans
And here are the pictures

Shouldn't all that be calculated with a bounding box?

Take the extrusion dims (L x W), add 72mm to the height of the extrusion; and don't forget to add the height of the feet...!

I specifically avoid the tophat top shave some volume, you know, air space ?
anywho if bounding box is the method then it's 259 x 310 x 134 ~ 10.76L, and the new score is 21,296

Hi @thelaughingman

I cannot quite match your volume for your x1 case

your x1 volume (less the 72 high rad and fan assy) 187 * 310 * 134 gives 7.76 litres
feet 10 * 310 * 134 gives 0.42 litres
radiator 72 * 310 * 134 gives 2.99 litres

giving 11.2 litres and a score of 20,120

your calc shows 10.76

did you forget the feet?
Is the width incorrect/correct?

reddit review of case - imgur pictures of both cases -
the Louqe Ghost comes in at 188 * 322 * 140 gives 8.47 litres
feet 5 * 310 * 134 gives 0.23 litres

the x1 case (left in red) is shown as taller (10mm feet) than the Louqe Ghost

and shorter

but no change in width

Can you confirm the dimensions please?

thanks

@Aux before I was using the dimension from the master case list dimensions and then add on the rad assembly. Took out the measure tape just now:
  • Confirmed length and width of 310 and 134 respectively
  • Height: measured the entire thing from desk floor to top of the fan is 270 (11+187+25+27+25-5)
So volume would be 11.2L same as your calculation. Thanks!

Here's my entry before redoing my loop!

Volume: 33x22.1x13.3 = 9.70L (FormD T1) watercooled GPU, air cooled CPU

Round 3 PPL calculation: ((6592 * 19059)/(9.70^1.5))/100 = 41587 *cries in 3900x*

Compute calculation: ((6592 * 418.7)/(9.70^1.5))/100 = 913

the push for 25 entries! my T1 build for now whilst waiting for watercooling parts to travel all the way from Germany to Vietnam ?
  • Volume: 330 x 221 x 133mm ~ 9.7L
  • Score: (7,808 x 9,954) / (9.70^1.5) / 100 = 25,728
  • Cooling: CPU - EK AIO, GPU - de-shroud Noctua A12x25

Come on folks, let's get three more entries in here before the Ampere cards start showing up...!

On a side note, @Aux

Regarding chassis bounding box volume measurements...

Might we all agree to take the nubbin of the top of a PCIe bracket out of the equation...?

Example: Cooler Master NR200

376 x 185 x 292mm incl. Protrusions, 360 x 185 x 274mm excl. Protrusions

The 274mm without protrusions height & the 292mm with is because of the feet, which we all understand as necessary, air gotta move somehow...

But the 360mm without protrusions & the 376mm with is that tiny bit of PCIe bracket protruding out...

With protrusions the NR200 is 20.3 liters, subtracting the volume caused by just the bit of PCIe bracket gives us 19.45 liters (which makes the NR200 SFF)...

Almost a liter of extra volume for a slip of metal...? I know this will vary from chassis to chassis, more for some, less for others...

But is it not a part of the equation that should be discarded...?!?

I would imagine people are waiting to see what was coming. I was/am.
I would have bought the 10900k, but havent seen one available, it also doesnt have pcie 4. And AMD should be announcing their new card too, soon . . .

I would propose to wait until 14th September to see if any other new entrants arrive, and then open ppl 4 when the nvidia 30 series should be available . . .

You mean this

personally I would agree and ignore that protrusion.

The nr200 site also ignores the protrusions . . . as you can see in the stated case volume. Its only there to inform . . (I hope they are including the feet, does anyone know?)

The history of this way of measuring was (if I remember correctly) down to the reviews by some sites including such bumps etc . .

But relatively for PPL we can ignore it, if everyone agrees . . . ..
