Hi everyone,
ASRock DeskMini X300 users, I share a link to a new BIOS that ASRock support has just sent me, following a report of a rather annoying "micro-stuttering" problem that I noticed when I wanted to try Windows 11 Pro and that to meet the compatibility and security requirements of Windows 11 I had activated the "AMD fTPM" function. This last function generated these problematic "micro-stutterings" and therefore this new BIOS which remains a "BETA" version according to the words of ASRock support integrates the latest version of the AGESA firmware, i.e. the Combo V2 PI 1.2.0.7 and this release is supposed to fix "micro-stuttering" issues related to the AMD fTPM feature as well as improve overall system stability and performance over the old "L1.72" Beta BIOS and the final bios "P1.70" which are under the old AGESA version "Combo V2 PI 1.2.0.3 Patch A".

Here is a link to download the "L1.77" beta BIOS:

Thanks for you post. I am happy to hear ASRock is caring about the X300. I directly wrote ASRock and ask if they will also provide an update for the A300. Lets see and hope for the best.

Thanks, worth checking out. I had read about that micro stutter issue with AMD in general, so I have TPM disabled in the bios as a precaution.

Wonder if they happened to improve the bios like adding curve optimization or a voltage offset for entire curve.

I just received this reply from ASRock support regarding the request to send me a finalized version of the "L1.77" beta bios if possible as soon as it is available, and apparently it would be considered finalized bios from now on:

Hello,

they told me 1.77 is actual version and will be uploaded soon to our website.

best regards,

Works perfectly (except RAM OC, but that's not important)
The memOC also works fine on 3600 MHz :) Crucial Ballistix 16 GB KIT 3200 MHz [BL2K8G32C16S4B]

Hi. In my case bios 1.77 decrease overclocking video core from 2400 Mhz at 1.70 bios to 2250 Mhz at 1.77 bios. Моre clocks 2250 MHz is unstable. Ryzen 7 5700G, 32 Gb DDR4 3200@3600.

Have you considered increasing or adjusting the values of vSOC and vGFX (two closely related values) to successfully stabilize the "Vega 8" iGPU beyond 2250MHz? because the "Vega 8" iGPU of my Ryzen 7 5700G, once the vSOC/vGFX is set to 1.3v takes 2500MHz without difficulty (I can even push up to 2550MHz but without interest because I need 1.375v which is way too much voltage, a lot of extra heat for very little performance gain), after I think I drew the right number at the silicone lottery too.

Hi, great news!

ASRock has just officially released a new "BETA" version of the BIOS for DeskMini X300, the "L1.79" version compiled on May 10, 2022, so a few days (exactly 7 days) after the Beta BIOS "L1.77" and at given the changelog which does not specify anything more than the update to AGESA v1.2.0.7, the changes should only be minor bug fixes but of course it is always good to take ;-)

For those who would like to download this Beta BIOS "L1.79", go to the official ASRock BIOS page for the DeskMini X300, here:

Greetings to all!

Has anyone been able to enable smart access memory? I tried to enable it thru the amd adrenalin software and it said I couldn't, but maybe I missed a setting in the BIOS. or maybe it was added recently

Activate the "Above 4G Decoding" option in the BIOS and the "Re-Size BAR Support" option will appear by itself, then you just have to put it on "Auto".
