With the announcement of 40 series, when can we expect availability? Thanks
Or just get that type of case if you need the space for the GPU. There are plenty of excellent vertical sandwich cases around, no real need to turn every case into the same thing.with how big the 4000 series cards are, we may need to scrap this idea of reference design and go for vertical iteration of design that allows for 4 slot GPUs...similar to ZZAW C1 design
I know a lot of people are looking for a SFF case that supports the really big 4090s but I am wondering what the final dimensions will be?2022-08-28: M1EVO is 40XX friendly.
Most people would agree that 40XX GPUs are big, so we made the necessary changes. As a result, M1EVO should support all of the 4090 GPUs and most 40XX GPUs without a PCIe Riser.
A list of updates:
1. M1EVO production unit has arrived
2. We are still waiting for a few 4090 AIB GPUs to arrive
3. We will test the fit and thermal of the bigger 4090 AIB GPUs
4. We will send the production unit for review
5. Then start IC or preorder on ncases.com
On the SFF Gurus Discord W360 said that the current size is the same as the poll results (which ran in the Discord), which indicate a 14.9L size.I know a lot of people are looking for a SFF case that supports the really big 4090s but I am wondering what the final dimensions will be?
You mean with the GPU at the bottom? Yes, the case is invertible but this will greatly affect your GPU thermals. Is there a way to change the components orientations. My OCD won't let me have it "inverted"
Yes. Gpu at the bottom and motherboard with the top part on the top.You mean with the GPU at the bottom? Yes, the case is invertible but this will greatly affect your GPU thermals.
No room for rads then, eh?
