Good news here as well! I Decided to purchase the parts I'll need once I got the confirmation email. I think I may have gotten the last XSPC EX280 in the UK, which seems to be the thickest rad that'll fit with a couple Noctua A14 chromax fans. So once it all arrives, I'll build and compare noise and temps to my dual 240mm formD build.

That's above retail!? 5900x should be 549. I've read of them jacking up prices then dropping them again. Weird practice.
Early 2022 is what I heard (OG plan was late 2021 but DDR5 won't be as ready apparently). I'd also consider Alder Lake if it's good. I just don't plan to get anything new soon. Even if my Haswell i7 really is feeling ancient even on desktop.

yes my guess is the 5900x and 5950x have low stock. They basically raise prices since people will pay for them. 5600x is being sold at 349 but 5800x is at 429. Seems the R7 CPU is the least popular.

Now to find a new gpu... you guys got any recs? Currently using the 5700xt & trying to decide between the 6800xt nitro or wait for a 3080TI
Personally I'm waiting for the White Meshlicious to be available in Canada mid June, which lines up with when the 3080ti should become available - fingers crossed I've got the build complete by July.
I had it in my cart on Newegg, but I got sidetracked and came back to check out like 10 mins later and it was sold out
