Shutdowns in the middle of install seem to me that the CPU is overheating and shutting off since that would be the only thing other than the HDD that would be working hard. The motherboard would be the next suspect.
Interesting... It works when I take the motherboard out of the case. I guess it was shorting out??? I used the included brass standoffs... need to figure out where the short is, but at least it's working!!
