I tried taking off the Noctua AMD L9A fan and it took the top of the CPU with it, exposing it. Am I able to put the fan back on it and have it still work, or would I have to clean it off and re-delid it?

You pulled the IHS off of a Ryzen chip? Aren't they supposed to be soldered?

It was an APU that was delidded by silicon lottery. Should I order another chip or send it back to Silicon lottery for another delid? I don't know how well it will work now.

pics of the CPU without the lid? just to check if the glass is okay
should drop Sillicon Lottery an email anyway. the best case scenario is that the perimeter glue holding the lid on just gave way

You’re not the first one my buddy did the same thing with I believe an 6100. He carefully set it back on, secured it and it worked. Made swapping cases a bit more tedious.
