Will the HDPLEX 400w be enough for a Ryzen 1600 (no overclock) and a Gigabyte GTX1080 mini? If so, what power brick should I get for it?

Do you need to use a dell power brick if you're using a hdplex 400w dc-atx in combination with the hdplex 300w ac-dc?

No the 300w acdc will power the 400w dc unit. Dont need a dell brick if you have a ac-dc from hdplex.

I think Skudshark misread and thought you were talking about the 300w dc hdplex, which was the precursor to the 400w.

Yea thanks, I just wasn't sure since the hdplex ac-dc is quite a bit smaller than the dell brick

there's one more thing i would like to ask,
is it possible to set a 2 HDPLEX 400w in 1 rig?
example : my rig need 600W PSU and i want to use HDPLEX 400W, so it means I have to use 2 units HDPLEX 400W HiFi DC-ATX & 2 units HDPLEX 300W AC-DC for my rig,,

Does anybody try this set up before?

Bare in mind that the HDPLEX 300w AC-DC unit requires active cooling to keep its temps in check to sustain its 300w output.

For example a 250w system (Example: Intel i7 65w + GTX 1070 150w) being powered by the HDPLEX 300w AC-DC unit WITHOUT active cooling will shut down during a heavy gaming session.

The Dell 19V 330w AC Adapter however runs much cooler and does not require active cooling to power a 250w system during a heavy gaming session.
