Question for anyone who might know.

Been browsing PCs that are about the size of the Mac Mini (8x8x2). Saw some HPs and a Alienware. Anyone know of other good ones?

What capabilities do you want? Light/Medium/Heavy gaming, web browsing, HTPC? There are a pile of PCs in this space, but it pays to know what you need before you buy.

More for Photoshop/Lightroom/Photography stuff and regular daily use (streaming and such). I would like a gaming PC but Im pretty short on space. And the more I thought about it the more I realized I'm not super likely to do a whole lot of intensive gaming on it since I have my Xbox X, PS4, and Switch.

If I'm not mistaken CPU and RAM are the two most important considerations for your uses, no? What about a Hades Canyon NuC with 32 GB RAM? Without the need for a serious GPU, I don't see why you'd need to go as large as a Mac mini.

AMD Zen 2 design is done!

EPYC 7nm is shipping in end of 2018. Intel will ship 38 core this year, while AMD will end up shipping 48 core. Pretty big difference if you ask me. Plus - it will be cheaper.

From the date ranges they mentioned, this seems to be on schedule, rather than ahead of schedule, and the late 2018 is only going to be limited quantities of a small number of SKUs. Ryzen 2 is still on track for the middle of 2019.

in the mean time, though, I'm waiting to see the Zen+ lineup fill out.

Yup. That's what I decided on actually lol Saw the youtube video of its debut and I was like

Done.

I have the top range Mac Mini that was released in 2014. The Hades actually completely outperforms it.

Unless Im misunderstanding what youre saying.
