Microsoft published a pre-view of their Q# programming language for Quantum Computers(source). I see a great potential in Quantum Computers, but it will take a long time to comercialise them.

I will try to learn the language and i hope it becomes popular as C#.

I'm seeing more use and interest in Ethereum as its use of blockchains to do distributed computing. One that's really caught my eye is RenderToken, which is distributed GPU rendering using programs like OctaneRender. Makes more utility than simply mining for coins. It's still in beta phase, with network machines to be selected will be able to turn on their GPUs for rendering headlessly and receive tokens for their work.

is quantum computing just more bits in a qubit? I'm still a bit unsure regarding how quantum computers work ._.

Quantum computing works by harnesing the Quantum Effects like super-position.
The super-position is allowng the Qbit, aka the quantum bit, to have more than one result outcome. Instead of 0 and 1 like in a regular transistors, qbits output any number between 0 and 1 or both 0 and 1.
This vid will explain to you much more than i can write.

It is a technology that is INSANELY POWERFUL, but not yet available as the qbits are build only with superconducting materials, but there was a discovery few days ago. While it claims to have "milions of qbits" on a silicon. There are actually only arround 10. Silicon based QCs are going to wait a bit more until some better finding happens. I personally believe that that will happen in the next year, as big folks like IBM, Google and Microsoft are working on it.

Live picture of me waiting for SilverStone to release their fanless SFX-L PSU even though they were reportedly releasing in November

I mean, I could just get a fanless ATX which will fit my current rig, but I want an SFX power supply in case I go smaller (maybe DAN)

It seems almost a crime that the legislature gets paid during a government shutdown.
Maybe they might not be so stubborn if their indecision actually effected THEM.

The huger crime is the guy at the top, golfing away the countless millions many Americans have had to pay for. Every day the government can't function is a chance Trump will have to set aside his plans for inflating his own investments and sell out the American people to the highest bidder. How's all his promises coming along ? How great has America become ? The only thing I see is the US losing all credibility and blowing up all the bridges that have been worked on for so long.

The poll numbers suggest that most Americans aren't all that crazy about this administration's performance or priorities, either. And I'd argue that the next few people in the official line to succeed DJT have their own issues, to boot.

At least I'm not in the UK...

It seems like politics in many countries is pretty fucked recently.

Honestly, I think the current president is more of a symptom than a cause. The current bi-partisan system makes it easy for one party to take control of the government ,doesn't encourage compromising on many issues, and limits voter choice. Add to that primaries whittle down the candidates to one per party further limiting choice (I don't like Hillary any more than Trump, but BOTH parties had candidates that weren't too bad initially)

On a side note, I do wish campaign funding were more restricted like on other countries. We might actually have viable third parties if voter mind-share weren't so easy to buy out by the large financiers of the Democrats and Republicans.

Having lived in Canada, I'm not sold on multiparty politics as a silver bullet. As Churchill sagely is reputed to have said, "Democracy is the worst form of government ever devised by humans - except for all the other forms."
