Motivation is the problem.

To get a project to the finish line is a marathon, and unless I'm interested, I prob give up half way, and I'm just that interested in that layout.

I'm looking forward to the pictures of this. I really like the idea of a vertical case to save space on the desk. If I can't get the Sidearmd, I'd be really interested in this case.

Verticle, my 2 cents,
1) smaller foot print, even at slightly larger absolute size we still have the T1 for portability
2) possibility for better airflow design, less surface area facing down and both long faces perpendicular to the spine of are opended up
3) there are a number of horizontal cases in production already.

Would it be possible to have work in both orientations? This looks good! I personally would prefer a vertical orientation to save space on the desk.

@Wahaha360 would it be safe to assume it won't be coming in silver like the T1? It looks really good in my opinion.

looks like you got real confidence on the mesh you are using for the Original T1. Personally, I would prefer a vertical case while there are recent new design of vertical case, the horizontal cases still win interms of design in production.

The mesh is the game changer for thermals and cost control.

To achieve the same ventilation % on aluminum panel will 1) create structural rigidity problems and 2) cost problems.

So the key to making increasingly smaller cases is great ventilation, dust filtering and structural rigidity. The custom mesh does all 3.

I just had a chat with motherboard vendors about next gen AMD and Intel Mobo VRM and CPU thermals, wait till you see the new power consumption numbers.

Very nice & clean looking design! ? Think I'm more interested in the Vertical case, but the horizontal one is also very nice. Especially since it's all mesh. If I was to choose between T1 or TMach1 horizontal, I would choose TMach1. Love the fact that you are considering a window option as well. Glass?

Just can't quite figure out the bottom part... doesn't look to be vented? What type of airflow are you aiming for here?

Is the I/O in the vertical case located at the top/bottom or rear?

Looks mega! Personally I prefer a “taller T1”

For vertical version, where will the Mobo I/O be facing (top/bottom/side)? My concern is all those cables if coming from a “wrong” direction may spoil the looks

Looks interesting, but not the biggest fan of so many 'lines' if that makes sense, it makes it look very "busy" for such simplistic design.
In the "horizontal" design, the AIOs are on top or bottom? Thinking of anything crazy like 120 AIO in the front?

Design looks VERY interesting, but less minimal compared to the T1. As @arthasdklol pointed out there are a too many lines that kinda ruin the minimal aestetic. But I guess you already know that and it's a thing that you had to do in other to make it accessible price-wise.

Personally I prefer, horizontal due to less issues with cables etc

For the horizontal design, using mesh on every panels makes it feels very homogenous. Meshed curved corners brings everything up.

The vertical one is interesting, though I find it less balanced, too much mesh this time for me haha. Having such large meshed surfaces, wouldn't it make it prone to flexing or bending? Anyway, I would be very curious to see what the inside layout would look like.

I think the design lends itself better to the horizontal orientation, I like it a lot more.

Purely from an aesthetic point of view, I much much prefer the vertical case.
However, this ain't the deciding factor. The internal layout and the ventilation design are more important to me.

Since the first prototype will be anodized in black, I tried to recreate the same dark gray from the T1 renders just to get a better idea of how it would look like...


In the end I quite dig the vertical design in this color, having a lowered contrast makes it less cluttered.

I also got a bit carried away and tried something with the mesh. I made it continuous from the front panel to the side ones to reduce the number of section lines. I don't know if that is feasable in production though, and it also defeats the point of having a flat package easier to store and ship!
