Hey, @fabio can you tell me the exact width the GTS rad needs to fit - i.e the dimension between the outsides of the two rails of the case.

I'm taking mine into work tomorrow to get the modding done, in case my T1 arrives over the weekend!
It has to be MAX 132mm (I guess). 131.5 or 131 is better!

Hey @fabio, thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into writing in detail about your experience and parts you've used. This is a big help and has convinced me to also go for the same case after staring at all the different options for a while.

1 question. Do you think I can use the same method you used for running 2 graphics cards to run something like a https://www.gigabyte.com/nl/Motherboard/GC-TITAN-RIDGE-rev-10#kf to add TB3 to that Gigabyte motherboard. Would that fit using that pci bifurcation riser you've got ?

Hey @fabio
How would you arrange the order of these pumps in terms of noise level: DDC-1T Plus PWM (from alphacool or EK), EK 3.2 PWM, EK MX 3.1 PWM.

And do you recommend we use a flow meter?

Hi, I'm curious about the clearance between the radiator mounting bracket and the mother board. Is it possible to put a slim 15mm fan between the bracket and the motherboard? I'm waiting for my case arriving and I'm considering a 40-45mm radiator plan.

There's only a max of 42mm of space above the motherboard using the correct brackets, and it is very tight.
Also, is it ok to mount the radiator on the top/bottom board?
Not sure what you mean by this. There is only one way you can mount the MB, and only one place you can put the radiator.

Correction here, as the space between motherboard and panel is 42mm (officially)

And again, here we are!!

After 1 year and a half from my 2nd build (BTW, CHECK IT HERE if you didn't)
I've moved part of it with new addition in a smaller case:

THE FormD T1 !! This case is a small CNCed Aluminum jewel! I am so happy to got the possibility to be in the test shipping phase!

And for this I have to thanks the creator @Wahaha360 for all the incredible work he did in the last year to produce the T1!

It was a long journey to arrive at the "final build" so let's start from the beginning, shall we?

Here the full specs!! (UPDATED!!)

EK-AF Angled 2x45 Fitting
Bitspower various extender
Alphacool TPV Metal fittings
+2 TPV 90 degrees fittings for the GPU
Alphacool TPV tubing 12,7/7,6

-

Of course, sad story of every SFF builder, the case is the last piece to arrive! But this was good to start to put together and test different configurations and parts.
But most important, to check the clearance between the different options that I will have.

The first idea for the waterloop was to use one of the two compact solution available in the market: the Swiftech Apogee Drive IIor the Alphacool Eisbaer LT Solo.

The first one use a more powerful and wide knowned DDC Pump (You can choose from different models, MX 310, 18W PMW)
The second one use a proprietary pump, the DC-LT, less powerful, but how you will see, is more than enough to run a single radiator of 240mm, ! CPU block and 1 GPU block!

(BTW: if you motherboard's fan header is powerful enough, you can rewire the DDC pump to have only one cable! In general the MX310, or the EKWB MX have a wattage of 10W and 6W, so almost every ITX board fan header can provide 1A, so should be completely fine. For the more powerful version, the 18W, you have to check IF there is any fan header that can supply 2A.)

Here just the rewired DDC with an heatsink mounted in the Apogee Drive II

So, the system on the motherboard has started to be tested!

I've wanted to go with a full Alphacool loop as you can see, but I was worried that the backplate for the Titan V that Alphacool provide was too thick to fit nicely in the case (I was right BTW).

But more I was watching the @optimumtech video, and at the builds that people where showing day by day on the main thread, more I was thinking that I could fit between the GPU and the front panel a pump, to have the possibilities to have a complete loop, choosing my favourite CPU block as well.

Looking day and night to which could be the possible solutions, I've ended to restrict the choice between to options just released by Alphacool:
The 1U DDC Reservoir and the Eisstation 40-DC-LT

Then, I've moved instead to an EKWB based system, and I was satisfied by the temporary look!

After a few days, I was still convinced by heart that a DDC could fit in it!

Keeping an eye also at the general look and to my curiosity, I've tried also a CPU block that from their website seems to "lower the temp of 7 degrees!!! Especially on Ryzen 3!!": the Optimus Foundation Block.
Well, it is a nice block, amazing mirror finishing of the baseplate, but seriously, nothing special. Zero difference from the EKWB Velocity, and just a weird mounting system without backplate and without spring, that caused the motherboard to bend crazily! Not anymore, sorry.

So, understanding for the COVID-19 serious situation but so impatient to have my build done, in a moment of impulsivity I've bought from a local reseller a Louqe Ghost, and put all the part in it, as I was imagining could work as well in the T1!

Pretty nice, isn't it?
You can see that at the end I went for a just released EKWB Magnitude CPU block. Seriously, the quality is way higher that the previous Velocity, and IMO even bette than the Optimus!
Is also a very low profile and low restrictive block, so even in the 3 Slots configuration it will fit withtall 90 Degrees fittings like my EKWB Torque!
BE CAREFUL, though. Because is an optimized block for the new Ryzen CPU,it is not possible this time to rotate it in a goofy (90 degrees) position!

But of course, just one one after I've finished this, HERE THE LOCAL POST UPDATE!!! The T1 is at the custom to be cleared. And 2 days later, here the baby!

And finally I can start to test the different components I thought could fit!

I know, the only official supported 240 rad is the one bundled with the Eisbaer Alphacool LT 240, but why not to try!
AND, IT FITS! The 27mm EKWB SE240 Classic, just fit with 2slim Noctua Chromax A12x15 fans! Do have as much clearance I could have, I didn't apply the included Noctua small rubber pad.
Every mm count in this case!
To mount properly the 240mm rad, one pair of "short" bracket are provided to screw only one fan. The other fan have to be put directly on the radiator, having them for one half cantilevering, but 100% solid, so, don't worry!

Because of that, also the cable length matter. Having the T1 the same layout of the DAN A4 and the Ghost S1, the cables from @pslate were working perfectly!
Only in the 2 slots GPU configuration, because the motherboard is a little far away from the PSU than in the other cases, the CPU EPS cable was 2 cm to short, but having all the necessaryat home, was super easy to do my custom one!

STILL, I was trying to fit the DDC :D (MAYBE it could work, but I think I have to file a bit the side of the 1U DDC Reservoir...)

Time to put all together!

I've chosen the tiny but powerful DC-LT pump, together with the Eisstation 40 DC-LT. It is a safe choice size-wise compared to the DDC one. I've tested it inside the Ghost, and it has given to me only positive results!

A bit more of detailed pictures to see how the tubing are routed in every tight space and the radiator in place!

There is also space for T fittings for an easier drain!

And FINALLY, here you are!

The PART 1 of my build log inside the T1 is complete!!

In the next days I will update the thread with the PART 2, where you can see how 2 GPUs can fit inside this wonderful case!!

And of course stress test, noise and temperatures!!

Thanks again to @Wahaha360 for the incredible job he has done, and for the continuous support he always give!

Cheers!!
I'm curious about the extension screw for the PSU. Is it firm enough for transportation? I want to have this case for portable ITX so I'm really worried about mounting a PSU with only two extention screws. If that's not good for transportation I'll consider the three-slot GPU configuration.

There is a third screw (in every PSU configuration possible) that secures the PSU to the front frame, FYI.

Hi @fabio awesome work!

I have a question regarding the clearance above cpu. I would like to fit the 15mm fan above the CPU. Would that work with the ek velocity amd block and the ek torque fittings?

The water block is 21.9mm high and the 90° adapter is 31.5mm decribed in the official webpage, so sure you cannot fit it using the 3-slot configuration. But at least the clearance is enough for 15mm fan if you choose the 2-slot configuration. Also, there is possibly 15mm clearance if you use a non-rotary adapter.
But how would you do to even mount a fan at that place? And why? lol.

And again, a small update or we can call PART 3!

I REALLY want to cram a DDC pump in the system! I was curious about the temp difference between the DC-LT, if any, but also, thinking to move also the second GPU under water, I knew that the head pressure of the DDC could have solved pressure issue of the coolant.

SO, I did it. Well, to have it, I had also to do the FIRST "hard" modification on the entire case/parts.

I've used the Alphacool 1U ES DDC reservoir (Alphacool did an amazing job doing this and the Eisstation for the DC-LT).
It's a super compact reservoir where you can add a bare DDC, having a low profile combo, with a lot of inlet port, so also in this case was easy to fill the system!

BUT, because the reservoir has also 4 small sticking plastic wings that allows you to mount it/match it with the 2,5" SSD thread space, It was not fitting!

So, I had just to "fix" this with a file, and that's it!

I've replaced from the previous system the 2 Barrow offset fittings with just one rotatory dual 45 Degrees from EKWB (I don't like the bitspower golden logo, otherwise I was going with it; just a better quality fitting if you ask) and the system is running again!

I had just more trouble to route the PCIe cable this time, because there is reeally ZERO clearance this time! But the good old front panel can store and hide them!

There is also a small change regarding the GPU fittings. I've swapped the stock one with the EK-FC Rotary Fittings, like Optimum Tech did.
The reason is because already knew that to have the second GPU these are the only option I have to connect the 2 GPUs.
This was also good to think and check for the next tubing route. ;)

In detail, the reservoir has mounted on it the EKWB MX 3.1 PMW, a low power DDC pump, just 6W, but still, with more pressure and flow than the DC-LT!

Thanks to this I've discovered that I could fill the system with more coolant! More air went out!

And now, again and again, the build!

BONUS!!

I will never be tired of this build! Looking even better, thanks to the low profile chipset/M.2 heatsink on the Gigabyte MB, thereis also space to mount a 92mm fan in the 3 slots GPU mode!

Because of this possibilities, I've replaces the stock cooler, placing the SSD inside an EKWB SSD Heatsink, and using the chipset fan header with a mini PMW GPU fan to PMW adapter, I've fit a super silent Noctua Chromax A9!

That actually doesn't need anything to be fixed. It stay hardly sandwiched between the bottom panel and the riser like a glove. ;)

Now the temps of the chipset under load never goes above 70C, and the SSD stays solid at 55 C!! Pretty amazing!

I really don't know what else I can add to this system, but I really need to point again that the T1 is a jewel!

Hi Fabio!
I see that there is still some clearance between your Titan RTX and the pump. Could you help me check whether the clearance is larger than 3mm? I have a fancy thought. I found a 17mm ultra-slim radiator and I want to mount it onto the GPU bracket! That can really optimize the thermal in this case (even with the future RTX 3080Ti)! The radiator is 270mm long, which is just 3mm longer than Titan RTX, so I'll have a really fantastic build if a 270mm radiator plus the 40mm pump can fit in this case!

the extra fan there helps VRM, chipset and M.2 temps A LOT. IIRC fabio was able to place a Noctua A9 in 3 slot mode - My conversation with him in the official T1 thread, I can't find the exact post in this thread but you may have better luck

For mounting, you could always just stuck some magnets into the fan screw holes and let it stick to the side mesh panel ?

Huge fan of this build. I'm looking to do a similar dual GPU build like yours and l'm looking at the Bifurcation 8X8 PCIE board by C-Payne. From what I can tell you purchased the Ghost S1 version that you linked here. For the actual bracket, how did you reverse engineer it? Did you 3D print out new brackets or did you simply modify the Ghost S1 brackets?

I asked about this. It's a printed modified version of the ghost s1 brackets, provided by cpayne. So you have to ask cpayne for the bracket. I wonder if you leave a note you can have the T1 brackets included instead of the ghost ones.
