Power Supply flexATX/SFX to power multiple low power 12v devices (barrel plug)?

hi,
I currently migrated homelab to Intel NUCs with 10w cpus and for my needs they are working great.
my only problem is power bricks/power adapters.
devices themself can run from 12v without any problem (I currently use 12v 2.5a power adapters without any issue).

so to escape cable clutter I thought that it might be a good idea to use something like flexATX or SFX with detachable cables and make custom cables with barrel plugs from 12v outputs of power supply.

it seems like it should work. should it work?
is there something I should know before going that route?

thank you

Since this is smallformfactor, do you have particularly small 12V 2.5A power adapters :) ? I am always out for some... but very hard to find really small ones.

well, this one https://www.edac.com.tw/comm/upfile/p_160819_07299.pdf is pretty small. I have EA1024HR-120 (
EA1024HY on the list). it is 12v 2.5a.

there is also alternatives from EDAC Power but their offerings are kinda bigger and a bit more powerful in the same form factor.

Dc can be split easily, cctv installers does that all the time. You just need to be mindful of the distance from the brick to the device, use better quality cables when you need to reach further etc.

Search for barrel plug splitter, good if they reach all your device, otherwise get dc power extension cables.

Fashioning a regular pc psu to a dc brick of sorts is easy too (just need a jumper) but pay attention to internal rails' spec. A 300W psu doesn't mean it can deliver all 300W in 12V. And even then they split the wattage to multiple pins and plugs. While I believe one pin can sustain ~5A no problem, more than that you probably need to tap to other pins.

In the past I had similar idea to power non USB-C portable monitors and I googled for "Molex to barrel connector". Found some interesting results.

Not sure if that is the one you are looking for, but yeah probably can give you some ideas.

The Netgear Mu30-5120250-c5 /B019FMHMDQ on US Amazon and https://moswebaruhaz.hu/Univerzalis-adapter-3-12V-2-5A-30W-6-DC-dugo both are much smaller. I only found the latter in Hungary and Romania. Weird.
