I'm stuck between either going with my 5700X3D or my 9600X for a SFF build in a LLW V40 ITX. The GPU planned for this build is a Gigabyte 5060 LP.
I am reading that the Mean Well LOP-300-12 power supply that I'm planning to use doesn't like being above 180W in passive mode for long, so the goal here is to be able to trim down power consumption so that I can live these 4L dreams that I have...
The 9600X has proven itself pretty good in the name of power consumption and performance, however I don't have a motherboard for it that fits this need. If I use parts that I do have, I was planning to pair the 5700X3D then with my ASRock X570-TB3, however I am afraid of exceeding the total system power draw goal that I have.
The board I'd be picking up for the 9600X is a X870I Pro Ice, mostly for that single-port USB4 life (although I am skeptical that hybrid graphics will work as well as the physical cable DP input does on the X570-TB3).
What would you pick in this scenario?
