Asus has announced their latest mini-PC; the ExpertCenter PN53. It features a Ryzen 7000 series APU with Radeon 600M graphics, two M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots, and DDR5 memory. It can support up to four 4K monitors or a single 8K monitor, and Asus is claiming performance improvements of 34% and 29% in single and multi-threaded performance respectively.

Asus is aiming this little unit at people who need enhanced durability, and have tested it to the MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability standard. However, to be very clear about this, there is not certification testing body for this standard. Asus itself says the following in their press release:

“MIL-STD-810H standard tests are performed under rigorous conditions. The test results do not ensure the device performance under these test conditions or make the device suitable for military use.”
