The previous thread on this just died off. It's been a good 10 months or so since Z490 motherboards came out. I'm trying to fit it in an N case. The current itx mobos have obtrusive heatsinks that make C14S mounting difficult. So far, I've confirmed from one other poster that MSI z490 Unify fits the C14S, and this hackintosh build (https://docs.google.com/document/d/...N7Q0TTLC6gSsfxzC4/edit#heading=h.1jlt649s7ge2) shows us that Z490 ASRock Phantom allows C14S - although Noctua website itself says this mobo is incompatible.

I'm guessing maybe the Gigabyte Aorus ITX fits it? Seems to have the smallest vrm heatsinks.

Can anyone confirm which brands allow fit with C14S?

@GuilleAcoustic Yeah I dont think Asus Z490 boards would fit at all haha.

So far we have:

Asus Z490-IC14S - No
ASRock Phantom Z490 ITXC14S - Maybe
Gigabyte Z490 Aorus ITXC14S - Yes
ASRock z490m-ITX/acC14S - Maybe
MSI Unify Z490C14S - Yes (one direction)

Do you already have this cooler and that's why you are looking for compatibility?

I have an ASRock Z490M-ITX/ac, but I used a Be Quiet! Dark Rock TF cooler. I don't have a C14S to test with - but I think you "might" be able to fit it.

The VRM cooler on this ASRock board is a bit large and might touch the heat pipes on your cooler depending on orientation.

I have the Asus Z490-I and a spare NH-C14 (non S) and can confirm that it does NOT fit (but it's not a surprise lol). I think that the cut-down Asrock Z490M-ITX/ac should be a good candidate.
I was hoping the old NH-C14 fit some modern Z490 and B550 mITX boards, also upcoming Z590 and B560 mITX as well...

This guy manage to fit the newer NH-C14S on the Asus Z490-i which many said it isn't compatible. https://smallformfactor.net/forum/t...-gaming-build-for-cod-mw-warzone.13181/page-2
