Worse temps in V6 compared to V5

Hi All,

Ported over my build from a V5 to a V6 and upgraded from a U9S to a C14 with a 120mm fan. I run at 1080ti with an Accelero 3 and 2 exhaust Noctua 120mms on the bottom. Somehow, my GPU went from 74C up to nearly 90C, while CPU temps stayed close to the same hitting around 86-89 under load in AIDA64. Running a 7700K.

Any initial thoughts around why the GPU would be so much higher in the V6 vs the V5?

Thanks,
Mike

U9s as intake? That gives fresh air to the exhaust fans in the bottom. Do you have c14s as intake or exhaust? Intake for bottom can be better, but hard to say why you see such a difference. Maybe other fan curves?

I sorted this out as I was using a C14S with a 140mm Noctua pushing from the mobo to the side of the case and for whatever reason, with the ventilated side panel it appears to cause more heat when the GPU fans are set to exhaust. Switching them to intake helped a fair amount.

M1 is a good case, but it's picky about cooling. I wish 3 slot blower cards were a thing for GPUs.
