how about this? Currently have a 5600x but looking to move to 5950x like you with the blackridge 120mm setup. I have the asus 550i mini itx mobo
that would work. it's the same ram, but 10usd more expensive. i have a blackridge with the 120 as well. also just got a 5600x.

those are faster. half the capacity, so they'll probably overclock better too. i'm planning to test out the 5950x with the BR+120 as well. good luck with your hunt.

Hi guys I'm in the UK and no one had any stock so before I pulled the trigger on AliExpress adata vlp ram. I emailed kingston.eu. They were very good at communicating and told me that the KVR26N19S8l/8 is not a big seller but there is stock available but it can only be ordered by an authorized reseller. So a few more emails back and forth and they put me in touch with a UK seller. It's just a 2week wait now to see if they turn up fingers crossed

Check my Post a bit up, these Sticks run flawlessly in my Asus b550i with 5950X at 3200/cl16/1.35v

If you can tolerate a fan running at 100% every now and then the black ridge should be fine, if you can fit a 70mm cooler you can also go for for the L12S and mod an A12*25 fan to fit it. 5950s run very cool, but expect to hit slightly lower Turbo speeds (mine caps out at 4.9ghz, 3.8 allcore) with sff coolers

PS: on Asus b550 you have to ditch the m.2 cooler and internal plastic I/o cover for this.

Cool. I got 5600x for my sentry 2.0 but want to try 5950x with blackridge and 120mm fan...

would these be faster?
I don't think moving to 5950x is a good idea unless you like lots of fan noise, high temps and throttling. You will need water cooling for that and a compatible case. If you just want to run games then 5600x is absolutely fine, but if you are more into video editing (large volumes at higher resolution) then going for high core count is something to consider. Other than that it is not really worth it in my opinion. Anyways good luck with your build ;-)

Damn! All the effort we do just to get the right part for our builds 😀 At least your parcel is on it's way. My pre ordered FormD T1 has been taken hostage by Chinese manufacturers and god knows how long I'll have to wait now to get my case. For that reason I'm no in this thread to see how viable a Dan A4 is for me, with the Alpenfohn BRv2 CPU cooler.

Let's say I'm just gonna try my luck cclonline.com and I'm unlucky and get a different die, what would be the results/consequence?
hi, i know this was quite a while ago, but were you able to order from CCL? were they D9WFL kits?

Just a brief update to say that the micron 3200 MHz d-die D9TZV run at 3200 MHz @1.2V with Ryzen 2700 on Asus B450-I 'out the box'.
I haven't played around too much yet and so far only achieved an OC of 3266 MHz by upping DRAM and SOC voltage.

3333 MHz is a no go with only voltage tweaks. Attempted with stock timings, DRAM voltage = 1.4V, SOC voltage = 1.03125. Will try optimizing subtimings to push further though I think the memory controller might be the roadblock here.

Happy with my wee rig all the same though. Framrates are significantly up and power usage/noise/heat and footprint are all massively decreased.
hi, where you able to push these kits to 3600mhz? or at least 3200 c14/c16?

Unfortunately, due to study and other commitments I've really not had any time to put into this recently. Still running 3200 MHz at stock timings. I'm hopeful that the timings can be tightened up though the weaker memory controller on the 2700 might now allow it.

I have the Asrock x570 tb3 with a 3700X, I also have two MTA18ADF4G72AZ-2G6B2 32GB DDR4-2667 VLP ECC UDIMMs. In the UK CCL have them in stock.
They are running no problem at 3200 cl 22-21-21-47 at 1.25v for me.

hi, i was interested in get a alpenfohn black ridge and was considering putting a slim 120 under it. so the net step would be to find the vlp memory, i went to pc part picker and not too much luck there the one vlp they did have said my motherboard was not compatible with ecc memory. I have a z270i strix and a i7 7700k. i was wonder if their are any compatible vlp dimms out there?

kingston vlp valueram is non-ecc and probably your best bet for compatibility. search for "KVR26N19S8L/8BK"

I bought two of these Micron 16GB 3200Mhz CL22 UDIMMS. They're D9WFL dies
I was able to overclock these to a stable 3600Mhz CL 16-16/22-16-32 @ 1.38V

These Micron E-dies don't seem to like tRCDRD under 22 at all. I've also only tightened primary timings so far, maybe I'll get around to secondary/tertiary another day.
3666 and 3733 were also useable but required >1.4V which was higher than I'd like for long term usage
3800 was unstable under all conditions I tried (up to 1.45V, loosened timings, 1800Mhz FLCK)

This is on the Gigabyte B550i AORUS with Ryzen 5950x and black ridge 120mm fan swap

I have the same sticks. Mine are stuck at 3600MHz CL 18 18 24 18 38 @ 1.4V (according to software readings and 1.36V according to my BIOS settings). Though I think I can reduce the voltage and tRAS a bit.
I'm using the Gigiabyte X570i and a R9 3900.
