Maxsun, purveyor of some of the more
unique motherboards and
graphics cards available on the market, has launched a darker compatriot to their (quite cool looking) white and orange socket AM5
MS-eSport B850ITX board.
An odd choice in expansion, Maxsun has decided to split the SOC’s PCIe Gen 5.0 lanes into an open ended x8 slot for your expansion card, and a pair of M.2 Gen 5 x4 slots to complement the single M.2 slot provided for by the SOC. I’d wager this is a decision based on the sheer bandwidth available with even 8 lanes of PCIe 5.0 – your GPU may not be suffocated by the lack of lanes here.
