Latest render looks damn good! It seems like you're close to publishing the "big update".. (?) In that case, remember updating the OP as well, so the old dimensions and details don't hang around there.

How are the dimensions now?

The new dimensions including feet and all are as follows:

H: 187
W: 140
D: 322

They are still preliminary and the review of the Alpha prototype can affect them again, so we will wait with updating the OP until these are 100% definite.

Time to go through the updated design. The Alpha-prototype has been ordered and we are eagerly awaiting to hold, test and feel it.

We still have some possibilities to adjust certain aspects and are happy to hear what you all think. However, every adjustment at this stage will need to be carefully assessed before implemented. Be honest and direct but also aware of the implications.

We start with a fundamental change, the adjustment of the outer shell. One of the early challenges we set out to overcome was to create something small that also provided a fast and easy build experience. The solution was a self-supporting inner “Spine”. After we gained some new perspective we thought “It is made from beautiful material using advanced manufacturing methods, why cover this beauty up?”. So the outer shell layer is now ditched. A bonus side-effect is that this increases the inner volume by eliminating the additional layer of material.

The front and rear gable, as well as the side panels are manufactured using extrusion. This allows for a rigid and nifty locking mechanism in the corners of the construction. The side panels now slide down into the spine, together they form the outer shell.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "the outer shell layer is ditched", could you clarify what this means?

Sure!
Before the shell was a U-shaped wrap that covered the entire case from the outside and were fixed with screws from behind. Now the side panels slide into the construction of the spine. Does that make it more clear?

Yep that clears it up, thanks.

If I were to not install a GPU, or only have a mini sized one, do you think it would be possible to install an AIO water cooler on the GPU side of the case?

I suppose anything is possible, the horisontal space between the center blade and the side panel in the GPU chamber is ~51mm so it will take some creative thinking to make it fit.

Spine

The spine has been updated in several ways, it is now composed from three main components, a front gable, a blade and a back gable.

* Blade is made from steel
* The spine has been widened thanks to the elimination of the outer shell
* Magnets have been integrated in the top of the gables that hold down the Grill or keep the TopHat in place during build before it is screwed in place
* Standoffs are now stainless and pressed in place in production
* The PSU bracket has been slightly redesigned and strengthened
* The wall thickness of the gables has been slightly increased – all in all resulting in a stronger construction

Does this mean we are limited to dual slot cards? How will dust filters mount and will the top be filtered?

Yes, 2.5 slot cards will not be supported. Snap on side dust filters will be offered at a later stage, there are carve outs in the side panels where the filters go. The top will not be filtered because it is best used as an exhaust.

Will be there any chance to put slim fans on top of the XS size case?

I'm not sure i understand the question but if you remove the grill you will have room to install any 120mm fan on top of the XS-model. You will not be able to pot the grill back on but it will still look good - like some kind of mad refinery.

In the bottom you will be able to put a 120mm fan if SFX PSU is used

I think ondert meant outside of the case

Okay, was a bit bored today so was looking at different 2 slot cards. Not many 2 slot 1080ti's. The FTW3 is pretty tall so the next question is, how tall cards does the Ghost accept?

Please don't change the size of the case to accommodate for bigger graphics cards. I'm getting tired only finding cases built around the GPU and not the CPU due to gamers wanting the best performance. I'm looking for a small case for professional audio production which is small enough to travel with and can fit a full powered CPU.

All the smaller cases are limited to a 65W CPU and/or they can't fit AIO water coolers.

The Dancase can support the EVGA GTX 1080 Classified, which (while still being 2 slots wide) is over 150 mm tall. If possible, please put the GPU slots as low as possible to accommodate taller cards, without having to change the dimensions of the case as a whole!

GPU card heights can be tricky, different ways of measuring etc. If we have to give a figure away it would be 144 mm at this point. Remember, everything is currently preliminary, when we know for sure it all works in practice we will be able to defiantly say.

Popular, boarder line GPUs will be tested in practice before recommended.
