The reason I asked is I think there is a small renewed interest on test bench "cases". For me especially since I saw this specific Deepcool Assassin build.

Very nice, I like the look of it. There are very good test benches out there, like BC1, made from premium materials / different manufacturing methods, similar to that image you sent. However, they come with a premium price. In my humble opinion, ultraflow is not trying to beat or capture market share from these products. I understand that every category has its own customer base. My goal has been clear from the beginning I wanted to made an open bench that is reliable, affordable, and at the same time provides an overall better user experience compared to the usual low-end tier acrylic test benches out there, for people who want to buy a test bench at a relatively affordable price. The design philosophy I adopted is the same from the beginning I start with a cheap solution and work my way up until I fix the problem. I'm really glad that interest has grown in open benches, but I will take my time until things reach the state I desire.

Finally found way to to fit ATX PSU without compromising chassis rigidity. Be aware that ATX PSU fits snugly and necessitates assembly expertise. A 3D Printed Bracket (STL files will be provided by u1ngear) is essential. In contrast installation process of SFX/SFX-L very straightforward through the bottom cutout can be installed and removed rapidly (with two screws) without disassembling bottom compartment. Additionally full changelog added first page.

Quick Update: The manufacturer failed to produce 2nd prototype, but they're now working on the 3rd! I've also made some minor update v1.15 check out the details on the first page.

Thank you very much. @potfplmn The entire frame is 1.2mm SECC, only thing is different from the rest is the GPU bracket which is 4mm SECC.

Can you tell us more about this Haiyan 120F fan we see on a couple of pictures above?

Nice catch @BaK. It is fan I've been tweaking and testing little over year. Main goal for this fan achieve absolute best possible acoustic possible. It is still at very early stage because aerodynamic and acoustic tuning requires significantly more costly R&D compared to case development.

Anyways, it is a hybrid fan, the by combining the features of an axial fan at the blade tips and a centrifugal fan at the middle of the impeller. This approach stabilizes the blades and eliminates most of the back pressure, at least in theory.

As for the naming scheme, here is the breakdown:

* Haiyan is the model name, inspired by the super typhoon.
* 120 represents the fan's size in mm.
* F stands for "fat" indicating thickness, which works as follows: F=32mm (fat), R=25mm (regular), and S=15mm (slim).

Most of my R&D data is currently on various Discord servers, but I’m looking to share it publicly. So if anyone knows of a better place for discussing fan ideas, let me know.

I totally believe that developing a fan is at another level than designing a case! Especially with silence in mind!

Thanks a lot for the explanation, very interesting!
I wish you luck to make this combination work as intended.
Just for the look of it, this makes the fan unique and very appealing!

No clue, except maybe starting a dedicated thread for it here on the 'Concepts' forum...
(Probably not useful, but there is this youtuber https://www.youtube.com/@MajorHardware that is used to test custom fan designs)

3D printable ATX PSU is ready and it is optimized for FDM printers.

Quick explanation why ultraflow not have native ATX PSU support.

An ATX PSU is too wide to allow quick access to the underside of the motherboard when PSU installed in the bottom compartment. Unlike an SFX/L PSU, which requires removing just two screws for rapid CPU cooler backplate swaps or etc, the ATX PSU’s tight fit makes removal difficult also requires skill just install it. As a result, this setup remains a mod that sacrifices ease of access for compatibility with the ATX PSU.

I kept this mod as simple as possible. Besides the 3D-printed bracket, you'll need 2 #6-32 3/8 screws and 2 #6-32 nuts.
