Nice catch
@BaK. It is fan I've been tweaking and testing little over year. Main goal for this fan achieve absolute best possible acoustic possible. It is still at very early stage because aerodynamic and acoustic tuning requires significantly more costly R&D compared to case development.
Anyways, it is a hybrid fan, the by combining the features of an axial fan at the blade tips and a centrifugal fan at the middle of the impeller. This approach stabilizes the blades and eliminates most of the back pressure, at least in theory.
As for the naming scheme, here is the breakdown:
* Haiyan is the model name, inspired by the super typhoon.
* 120 represents the fan's size in mm.
* F stands for "fat" indicating thickness, which works as follows: F=32mm (fat), R=25mm (regular), and S=15mm (slim).
Most of my R&D data is currently on various Discord servers, but I’m looking to share it publicly. So if anyone knows of a better place for discussing fan ideas, let me know.
