She's beautiful :)

(There's a very slight anodizing imperfection above the front audio jack. Almost invisible. And I don't care. My opinion above stays)
Ignsvn,
Can you send me a pic of the area? I'd like to make it right, and make sure you are happy with the case bro.

A bit of good news today.

I received some powder coated covers today. So for those who asked for the black powder coat instead of anodizing, I'm packing your cases now, and they will ship Friday morning.

For the cases with anodized covers, the fabrication shop is finally building new covers, and about double the amount needed, to make sure to account for any anodizing scrap. I will be working with the anodizing house directly, in order to more closely monitor their quality, and having them expedite the processing. I hate to give a time estimate, but shipping these last cases of the batch within 2 weeks looks feasible.

Good to see USPS didn't bounce the box off too many walls. --And you can keep the packing peanuts. Those are free of charge. lol.

MI-6 by CCD (Case by Case Design)
Intel i7 8700K delidded
Gigabyte Z370N itx
16GB Corsair Vengeance 3000 MHz
Scythe Big Shuriken 2 Rev. B with Prolimatech 140mm Vortex fan
IDCooling 92mm slim fan
Gigabyte GTX 970 mini
120GB MyDigitalSSD M.2 NVMe
512GB Silicon Power M.2 SATA III
480GB Sandisk Ultra 2.5 SSD
2TB Seagate BarraCuda 2.5 HDD
Corsair SF600

This was supposed to be a MSI GTX 1070 Aero ITX but with crypto mining and VRAM shortage the prices are ridiculous. I found this Gigabyte GTX 970 on ebay for $225, it will hold be over until things stabilize or the next generation are released.

That turned out great man! How're the temps with that heatsink/fan combo?

I finished late so didn't get a chance to do any stress testing, I can say the fan only runs at 650rpm at idle and is very quiet. It is about 2C cooler at idle than the Scythe 120mm fan.

Found out 2 things about my 92mm IDCooling fan. One is that it will run at 3600rpm full speed and two it screams like a banshee at that speed. Once I changed the BIOS setting to silent mode it runs at 1500rpm and is very quiet.

I ran some Prime95 tests with the Scythe 120mm slim fan and max single core temps were 75C, the fan isn't extremely loud but it is audible. With the Prolimatech 140mm slim fan max temp was 71C with fan that full speed, which is only 950rpm and very quiet. So the combo appears to be both effective and quiet.

Need to do some GPU testing too.

Not bad temps. I got 67C with my 6700k with 4 cores, so 71-75C with your 8700k with 6 cores delidded is not bad at all.

EDIT -- What do you think your ambient temp was?

Ambient was about 20C, didn't think I would be able to OC this CPU but now I think I can.

I wanted to tell you @firewolfy how impressed I am with the case, especially for a first version. Everything was included, everything fit, no sharp corners and that powdercoat finish is fantastic.

Well decided to test the GPU, running Firestrike max temps were 68C. Played some Final Fantasy XV, surprised how well the 970 handled it. Max temp during the game was 70C, usually ran in the low 60C. CPU never went over 50C. Both my 2.5 SSD and HDD are staying very cool with the 92mm intake fan, 30 - 32C.

rfarmer,
So your ambient was about the same as mine 20 vs 21.5, so the CPU temps are a nice comparison. And good to see the GPU is getting enough air out the top of the case to keep is cool.

Glad you are good with the case! I'm really trying provide a good product and I appreciate the feedback.

68mm clearance...70mm cooler. Seems like the 2mm difference was eaten up by some fortunate tolerance magic (pcb thickness, standoff heights, screw tightening, etc.). :)

I almost bought one hoping that I would get that lucky, but with my luck it wouldn't fit. :p

Hey guys, my L12S fit with no issues. There may be variance in the height of these coolers, as my unit does bend at a slight angle. In my build there is about 1mm of separation between the heat sink and the case side panel.
