Bah that's huge, get a smaller heatsink like L9i and install a 120mmx25mm fan in bottom, even an 8700k overclocked will run cool base on my test.

Gave the free room to allow 2.5 slot GPUs

Had to check specs, retract that, don't use an L9i! Use an LP53!

(Reason why I picked 53mm now that I think back!)

I run an am4 platform. I am stuck in a bigger "itx" case until there is an adequate cooler. There are no am4 mounts for the lp53. The l12s only needs another 20mm of clearance...
